[Interstellar] I Picked Up a Hero

Merry was one of the orphaned drifters on Prison Planet, surviving by scavenging for trash every day. One day, she happened to pick up a strange, ridiculously chuuni guy. He claimed to be a hero, but was so useless he couldn't even get a fire going. "Right, you're a hero. Of course I believe you," Merry said, coaxing him as she stripped every last gem from his hero's sword. Then one day, right before her eyes, he killed the mech dragon guarding the prison with a single strike. "A hero, hic, a hero's sword is supposed to be used to save princesses," he sobbed between gasps as he wiped his blade. Merry stared at the bare hilt in his hand. "You probably won't believe this, but... I'm actually a princess." ...Is it too late to put the gems back? Simon was a hero from a fantasy continent. He had only just set out from the beginner's village when he fell into a completely unfamiliar interstellar world. Fortunately, he met a princess early on. Though his princess didn't have a pretty dress, had a terrible temper, and was even poorer than he was! But that was all right. Heroes were supposed to save princesses! He reclaimed the gems she'd lost for her and won back the territory that had been seized from her. At last, Simon asked his princess what else she wanted. But the princess, dressed in the emperor's robes, held out her right hand to him as he knelt before her. "Simon." Even to the very end, Simon never figured out whether his princess was calling him or answering him. Bonus scene: Once upon a time, there was an exiled evil dragon. Then one day, she picked up a hero. Hero: "You're so beautiful. You must be a princess in distress, right?" The evil dragon thought it over, then graciously accepted the compliment. And so the greedy evil dragon raised her very own hero. We may not be the protagonists of a fairy tale, but you alone belong in my story.
