Even Widows Are Popular in the Cultivation World

[Two of the Widow Series]

Blurb:

Xie Fuyin transmigrated into a Mary Sue cultivation web novel, becoming the villainess who coveted the male lead's good looks and constantly tried to frame the heroine, bringing disaster upon herself at every turn.

Rumor had it she was cursed with ill fortune and doomed to kill her husbands.

Given how tragic her ending was, the only thing that comforted Xie Fuyin was that she had transmigrated at a very convenient time.

The male and female leads hadn't been born yet, and her Dao companion had died seven days earlier.

In other words, she was a widow now.

A fabulously rich widow who had inherited her Dao companion's massive estate and owned mountains of gold and silver!

Xie Fuyin: "!!!"

What was there to worry about? She could do whatever she wanted!

Xie Fuyin was living it up in the cultivation world. She wore shimmering silks and exquisite glazed jade ornaments, feasted on rare beasts and immortal fruits, and traveled with eight ancient spirit beasts at her command...

The cultivation world gradually began to hear about her. People's opinion of her shifted from "that poor widow" to "the female lord who owns three palaces and fourteen courtyards and controls three spirit veins."

Rumors even spread that "getting close to her could save you two hundred years of hard work" and "winning her heart could make you an Immortal Venerable."

More and more male cultivators began vying to become Xie Fuyin's Dao companion, each finding a different way to declare their love.

Xie Fuyin's take on it was:

"Love? What for? We're all adults. Isn't it tacky to talk about feelings?"

Money was the most practical thing in the world, and the only thing that made her feel safe.

Men? Ha. They were just for fun!

There was another reason Xie Fuyin didn't want a relationship. She discovered that there were many widows in the cultivation world whose experiences resembled hers. These widows envied how carefree and unrestrained she was, and came to her in private for advice.

The widow sisters' stories always began beautifully and ended tragically.

After hearing too many bad-ending stories and realizing how painful love could be, Xie Fuyin had an epiphany one day. She decided to sever all romantic attachments and devote herself entirely to a great cause.

And what was that cause?

Everyone in the cultivation world knew that the widow sisters, healed by Xie Fuyin's guidance, had united to form the Black Widow Alliance.

The alliance caused a sensation. It had a huge membership, and every member was enormously wealthy and high-born!

Xie Fuyin was elected leader and was currently busy writing a new book: Widows: We Are More Than a Label.

But while she was writing, people kept asking to see her.

Xie Fuyin: "Huh? What? I don't want to see anyone!"

The maid outside the door hesitated. "B-but the person here is your Dao companion, Madam... Immortal Venerable Changzhuo!"

Xie Fuyin: "?"

Wait, what? Hadn't her Dao companion been dead for hundreds of years?
