Doomsday Livestream

Inside Doomsday Livestream Room [111]:

Ji Xiangchen was a sweet little stray boy whom Grandpa Ji had brought home.

After the dirty little tyke was cleaned up, he turned out to be fair-skinned and adorable. Unfortunately, he was always blank and unresponsive. The neighbors all said the sweet boy was an idiot and urged Grandpa Ji to throw him out.

Grandpa Ji just smiled, then turned around and doted on the boy even more, patiently teaching the vacant little tyke how to get dressed, eat, and talk.

At last, the sweet boy learned to say the two words "Grandpa" and obediently carried a little stool to the doorway to wait for Grandpa to come home.

But even after the moon had risen high, Grandpa never appeared again.

The viewers in the Doomsday Livestream Room:

"Waaah, the poor little one! Too bad Grandpa got caught up in the doomsday game and became cannon fodder. He's never coming back. Heehee, I'm going to see if Grandpa's dead!"

"This is so boring. What's there to watch about some old man's doomsday livestream?"

"Bad review! The livestream System is getting more and more careless about who it picks. What's there to watch about some old man?"

Just as everyone thought the old man wouldn't last more than a few days and was about to leave the livestream room, the sweet boy, who had been sitting properly with his head bowed, stood up expressionlessly. A pale blue screen of light appeared around him as he floated in the air.

The human child's body gleamed with the sheen of flowing metal. His clear black-and-white eyes reflected a strange light. His soft, childish voice held no emotion, like an AI:

"Combat Robot No. 1 performing self-diagnostics. Beep beep beep. Insufficient energy. Forcibly activating kill mode."

"Highest-priority mission: bring Grandpa back."

"Unknown spatial energy detected."

"Forcing a jump. Countdown: 3, 2, 1."

From that day on, a combat robot codenamed Slayer made its stunning debut in the Doomsday Livestream Room.
