The Sickly Beauty Is Sucking My Yang Energy Again

Everyone knows that Pei Huaizhi keeps a proud, aloof, delicate beauty in poor health. The other's face is pale and body cold, and he often coughs and faints, yet Pei Huaizhi protects him like a precious treasure.

After they got together, all kinds of paranormal incidents started happening around Pei Huaizhi.

A business partner suddenly died under mysterious circumstances, food vanished from the house, strange noises sounded at night...

It wasn't until he met a wandering Taoist priest that things began to make sense.

The man said that Pei Huaizhi was surrounded by ghostly energy and had clearly had his yang energy borrowed.

Pei Huaizhi gave a cold snort. "That's feudal superstition!"

That very night, after saying this, Pei Huaizhi saw it on the security camera.

His usually frail little canary, who couldn't even look after himself, had a talisman in his left hand and a banner in his right, spitting blood as he tore ghosts apart with his bare hands.

Pei Huaizhi: "..."

When his best friend heard about it, he hurried over to talk some sense into him. "Give it up. He doesn't like you at all. He just wants to suck out your yang energy."

Pei Huaizhi: "Nonsense! Then why doesn't he suck anyone else's yang energy, only mine? He still likes me."

All his friends: "…"

A hopeless love-struck fool. There's no saving him.

Content warnings

This isn't a paranormal story in the traditional sense. The author is a coward too and doesn't dare write this book at night, so it shouldn't be too scary. It leans more toward the metaphysical.

The love interest doesn't like the protagonist at first, but having his yang energy sucked out won't affect the protagonist's health. They're simply getting what they each need.

The protagonist is a goofy, domineering CEO, hopelessly love-struck and only interested in his beautiful wife.

I wrote this purely to indulge my personal fetish for a beautiful, battle-worn person spitting blood while fighting. This story is told primarily from the love interest's perspective, but since his personal history is revealed later, putting it in the blurb would spoil the mystery, so I chose to use the protagonist's perspective instead.

Once again, this isn't a paranormal story in the traditional sense. If that bothers you, please think carefully before adding it to your collection or reading it.
