[Western Crossover] Raising the Bat Duo Is Going Swimmingly

Kal-El had lived on Earth for many years. His red cape swept across the sky day after day. The inscriptions on Martha and Jonathan's tombstones had grown blurred, and Superman no longer answered calls for help simply to save lives. Gradually, he came to see himself as a lonely god on the blue planet. By a twist of fate, Kal-El once traveled to a parallel world. He encountered the great shadow born on a Gotham gargoyle, witnessed the brilliant soul of a mortal who could stand alongside the gods, and heard stories of kryptonite rings, hands and gloves, and countless times they had shared life and death. The Superman of that world had never been alone. He had family, a partner, comrades who fought by his side, and close friends with whom he could share his ideals. Kal-El asked for none of that. He wanted only the bat-shaped moon hanging high in the heavens. After returning from the parallel world, Kal-El decided to visit other worlds and capture any solitary Batmen he could find. Just before he left, he heard a cry for help in the distance. He grabbed a robber by the collar and glanced at the terrified, screaming victim, then noticed the headline on a newspaper displayed in the shop. "The Waynes Found Dead in the Street! What Future Awaits Gotham's Billionaire Orphan?" That afternoon, amid the unending rain in Gotham City, a man named Clark Kent was hired as a gardener at Wayne Manor. TIPS: 1. The pairing is Superbat, with an age gap and a little raising-up-the-younger-partner dynamic. There will be no Robin in the main story. 2. This Superman is completely different from the main-universe Superman (gestures emphatically.Gif). His characterization is based on the older Superman from Kingdom Come. Theme: Being a hero is a matter of character.
