A major disaster has struck.
After being named one of Teyvat Academy’s ten outstanding students of the year, Kunikuzushi, a second-year Anemo student from Inazuma, applied to Nahida, the dean of the Academy’s research institute, to become an exchange student at a partner school. On the first day of term, he tripped over a glowing branch and transmigrated to a parallel world.
He stared at the all-too-familiar Sumeru symbol above him and the completely unfamiliar buildings, his mind going blank:
...If I don’t make it to registration on time, will they take away my credits?
Clinging to one last shred of hope, Kunikuzushi pulled out his phone. Seeing the screen with no signal bars, his vision went black again:
...So, you said yesterday you’d come pick me up and take me to register at your school. You’re still good for it, right, Niwa?
Meanwhile, Niwa Hisahide, waiting at the gates of Teyvat Academy with Miyazaki Kaneo, fell silent as he watched the young old man calmly sipping tea at the school gate, who was both the security guard and the principal. A few minutes earlier, Niwa had caught the music teacher forging a parent’s signature for a student. The head of discipline stood nearby with arms crossed, looking stern while his mind was already wandering off into space.
...Junior, if you’re any later, they’re going to take every last one of your credits!
1. In this story, you’ll find things including, but not limited to:
Rebellious teenage Bai San and his “mothers”;
Xiao Xiao searching another world for his missing “old dad”;
The life of an Anemo student constantly being fooled by the department head;
Exchange student Kaeya and his hapless adopted brother;
The daily life of a four-person boys’ dorm in Sumeru;
2. There are no romantic pairings in this story. Every character relationship is platonic;
3. There are lots of memes, but I won’t dig too deep into them. They’re used in moderation, and no characters are bashed. If this isn’t your thing, feel free to stop reading without telling me;
4. Though this is a meme-filled story, Xiao Bao and Bai San won’t actually call anyone Mom or Dad, and I won’t dwell on stale jokes (doge-rose);
5. The Teyvat Academy characters are all my own versions, with plenty of OOC characterization. If I could write fanfiction with absolutely no OOC, I’d just send my resume to MHY (doge);
6. You can tell from the blurb that my favorite characters are the Anemo boys. I love the whole cast, too. I’ve been playing for half a year, haven’t been grinding much, and am currently Adventure Rank 56.
