Clark had a secret no one else knew.
He was Superman.
Apart from his adoptive parents, no one knew this secret, not even any member or ally of the Justice League.
But he had another secret, one he had never told anyone and could only hide in his heart.
He had fallen for his teammate, his partner, his best friend, his other half...
That person was Batman.
Batman had always been committed to working alone.
That’s right, alone.
Even with a whole crowd added to his family, even after becoming an adviser to the Justice League, even with his absurdly annoying partner insisting on working alongside him,
he still worked alone.
But during the day, while he was in Gotham as Bruce, he fell in love at first sight with the little reporter from neighboring Metropolis who had been sent to interview him temporarily.
That person was Clark.
Lately, a rumor had been circulating among superheroes about a love affair involving the Justice League’s chairman, its adviser, and Bruce Wayne, the wealthy patron who funded them all. Supposedly, a reporter from the Daily Planet was involved, too.
The superheroes: ...Oh wow, a love quadrangle!
Out of concern for their colleagues and comrades, not because they wanted to gossip, the superheroes looked at one another, then decided to send out Green Lantern, who had lost a bet, to ask what was going on.
The greatest Green Lantern in history declared that this would be easy and that he, brave and fearless, could handle it. After hesitating for a long while, he finally went to ask Superman, who seemed like the easiest person to talk to.
Superman: …
Superman was exhausted. He knew nothing and wanted to know nothing. He had sacrificed far too much to protect his secret identity.
Before You Dive In:
1. This is a goofy, sweet story. For reference, think Lego, TTG, Little Gotham, the Harley Quinn animated series, or even Wayne Family Adventures (?)
2. The pairing is SuperBat!!! Also includes Batman and Iron Man as friends.
3. The characters belong to their original creators. I don’t own them.
4. Lots of OOC moments and references, so watch out if that’s not your thing!!
5. The blurb may change before the story starts, but the core idea won’t.
6. The Mr. and Mrs. Smith idea I promised a friend will most likely appear in a bonus chapter!!
7. That’s all!! Hahaha!
