From the Start, I Became the Great Onmyoji's Childhood Friend

When he first met the mysterious and powerful half-yokai Great Onmyoji, the young master of the Minamoto clan thought his onmyodo was all flash and no substance.

Half a year later, the young master saw the Great Onmyoji again at a noble’s banquet. Unable to refuse the nobles’ request, the man had put on a little “performance” with his onmyodo, instantly snuffing out the life of a living creature.

Amid the crowd, the Great Onmyoji smiled at the young master of the Minamoto clan, whose expression remained cool. “Interested? Call me ‘Master,’ and I’ll teach you everything.”

Master?

A smile played on the young master’s lips. He neither accepted nor refused. When he called on the Great Onmyoji the next day, everyone assumed he was going to perform the ceremony to become his disciple. But when he saw the Great Onmyoji…

“Greetings, Senior Brother. Master has ordered me to learn onmyodo from you, starting today.”

The Great Onmyoji: “…”

Until one afternoon…

“Anokata Seimei!”

“Not calling me ‘Senior Brother’ anymore, Head of the Minamoto clan…?”
