Shooting the Tiger

Na Ri Qin x Que Lanyu

Older sadistic emperor gong x arrogant, coquettish beauty shou

At thirteen, Que Lanyu was the little prince of the Lanyi family, adored by everyone.

At his birthday banquet, he drew his bow and loosed an arrow, killing a silver-eyed, black-browed tiger.

That tiger was the guardian beast of Na Ri Sai, leader of a savage tribe from the grasslands.

Que Lanyu thought nothing of it. He had the tiger skin made into a waist sash and wore it every day, flaunting his victory.

Five years later, the Na Ri Sai swept across the grasslands, and the entire Lanyi family became their captive servants.

The chief of the Na Ri Sai sat upon his iron throne, looking down at the once-glorious little prince.

Chosen by his people, Que Lanyu was dressed in gauzy silk as thin as a cicada's wing, pearls digging deep into the snow-white flesh of his thighs.

The young beauty knelt at the feet of the chief, Na Ri Qin, then slowly sat on the tip of his boot.

When he was young, Na Ri Qin was the hero Que Lanyu admired most. His fame struck fear across the grasslands, and the arrow he shot into the sky at the Great Cavalry Gathering was something Que Lanyu studied and traced day and night.

Surpass him, defeat him: that was Que Lanyu's only wish.

At thirteen, he used an arrow he had practiced countless times to kill Na Ri Qin's beloved black tiger.

He thought he had won a round, but at eighteen, Na Ri Qin pinned him to a beast hide and ravaged him until he was utterly defeated.

From then on, there was no longer a Prince Yu on the grasslands, only Lan Fei, the young and radiant beauty who was as docile as a cat in Na Ri Qin's arms.

① One-on-one, happy ending. The shou is a devastatingly coquettish beauty, while the gong is an exceptionally cold-blooded, ruthless older man, and quite the deviant.

② Thirteen-year age gap, with an older man raising his younger partner.

③ I don't think there's much political scheming, so don't be fooled by the blurb. The older man is very doting, and there's no angst.

④ They fall in love after marriage, in a melodramatic, dark version.

Theme: Be careful when making a deal with a tiger.
