The Nether River Inn

A new shop has opened on Antique Street in the west of the city. It's called The Traveler, and it sells all kinds of strange objects on consignment.

There are simple, old-fashioned wooden hairpins, worn plush toys, cheap sandals, and shredded admission letters pieced back together...

The shop is open only three days a month. The rest of the time, its doors stay shut.

When Xu Yanxi went for her interview, the shop happened to be closed. She waited outside for an hour before the owner finally arrived, only to casually say, “I forgot I had an interview scheduled.”

On the eastern bank of the River of Forgetfulness stood a dilapidated house. Nearby wandered a group of ghosts with such deep attachments that they could not cross the Bridge of Helplessness.

One day, the house vanished, replaced by an inn.

The innkeeper said, “Would you like a room? Stay here, and you'll be able to cross the bridge afterward.”

And so an inn that could help ghosts fulfill their wishes appeared beside the River of Forgetfulness.
