Qingluan, the Concubine's Daughter

One day, the Crown Prince fell unconscious and was saved by his childhood sweetheart, the eldest daughter of the Pei family. But the credit was stolen by Ye Qingluan, the Ye family’s illegitimate daughter.

The girl had a bad reputation from childhood, and people said she was rotten to the core. But to repay her for saving his life, the Crown Prince had no choice but to agree to marry her. She even insisted on becoming Crown Princess, or else she would demand that he repay her with his life.

Crown Prince: ...For the sake of her saving my life, I’ll put up with it.

Unexpectedly, on the wedding day, the eldest daughter of the Pei family disregarded all propriety, barged into the ceremony, and tearfully declared that she was the one who had saved the Crown Prince that day. She even produced irrefutable proof.

Seeing her lie exposed, Ye Qingluan figured she was probably doomed. So she decided to go down fighting, drawing a long sword to take a few people she couldn’t stand with her. But the Crown Prince was highly skilled and snatched the sword away in a single move.

Qingluan closed her eyes, ready to die. At least she had managed to anger the Crown Prince this much in her lifetime. That wasn’t a bad deal.

But the pain she expected never came.

She opened her eyes in surprise and saw the Crown Prince gently cut off a strand of her long hair, then tie it together with one of his own. “They say a couple becomes husband and wife by tying their hair together. My Crown Princess is rather impatient.”
