The Unconventional Rules of Courtship

Also known as:

The game character I maxed out smashed through the wall between worlds and came after me to propose. Is that normal?

During his stressful final year of high school, Yu Minglu was introduced by a classmate to Summit: Genesis, a PPT-style mobile game.

The name was grand and glorious, but in reality it was a game that sold character cards, with a mix of idle gameplay, tower pushing, and match-three puzzles.

When he downloaded it, he heard the company making the game was going under. He didn't care. He'd play it to unwind and switch to another game when the servers shut down.

As he neared graduation in his final year of college, he was busy with coursework and tired of grinding for materials, so Yu Minglu used a cheat to farm unlimited resources for his characters.

You can make everyone else suffer, but not yourself!

With his grinding power and cheats, Yu Minglu used a flurry of tactics to force the combat stats of characters whose early game was hellish way up.

When he was in the mood, Yu Minglu once stayed up for several nights in a row, making guides and pushing through the newest update's Fallen Angel Tower.

Like most mobile games, its replay value dropped sharply after a while. By then Yu Minglu couldn't bring himself to delete it, so he just switched phones.

For the next two years, Yu Minglu never thought about that old game again.

Until one day, a hole suddenly appeared in the sky of the twenty-first century.

Yu Minglu: Wait, doesn't that white tower falling from the sky look familiar?

The walls between worlds shattered. The world of a tower-climbing game descended on Earth, forcing the entire eligible population to take part in a game governed by its rules.

The hero who slew the dragon and claimed victory stood with his greatsword in hand, guarding his lord's temple. Days and nights passed, the sea became farmland, and mountains turned into abysses.

Until the continent changed, and no one in the wind sang of the god's name anymore.

Only then did Nidahola, still guarding the temple of the flower-crowned god, realize what had happened.

Oh. Abandoned by the gods.

I came from hell, forsaken and hated by the gods. I deserve this.

I came from hell, blasphemed against the gods and imprisoned them. I deserve this.

+++++++My god, let one of your feathers fall to me.

It doesn't matter if you don't.

++++++I have scales and claws. I can find you.

Yu Minglu x Nidahola (a dragon-blooded hybrid)

A normal person x a deranged and crazed former hero who breaks through the walls between worlds to pursue the mad god who pursued him

An old-school, angsty romance. He's the dragon, and he's ridiculously overpowered.

Personality guide for the gong and shou:

The gong seems like a smiling fox who's all bark and softhearted, but he's actually stubborn, hardhearted, and only interested for three minutes.

The shou is brooding and erratic, neurotic, and hates the world equally, but is actually a saintly hero with blind faith.

The gong initially sees things through the lens of a game and thinks the protagonist's stats are his own, so he maxes out every skill.

The shou pursues him relentlessly, at double intensity. He's all about puppy-like whining.

Both are pure. A fake tower-climbing story with fake endless survival.

A silly romance story disguised as an epic, with a pseudo-nonhuman love interest.
