A Dragon Hatchling's Daily Life Running a Shop in Another World

High school student Jing Lin falls from a tall building while saving someone. When he opens his eyes again, he's become an unhatched dragon egg.

Before he can figure out what's going on, he's bound to a System and told that he's an egg that's about to suffocate because it hasn't hatched in time. If Jing Lin wants to hatch, he first has to open a shop and earn energy.

And so Jing Lin, the dragon egg, embarks on the point of no return: working hard to stay alive by running a shop.

First shop: A drinks shop in an elven forest

The mysterious elves have lived on flowers, fruit, and dew for ages, until Jing Lin opens a drinks shop.

"Boss, a strawberry milkshake, please. My kid's been crying and begging for one."

"Boss, twenty iced Americanos to go. Our squad's on night watch today."

"Boss, one iced lemon soda. Life without carbonated drinks isn't really life."

Second shop: A flower shop in a futuristic beastfolk world

In the interstellar era, humans voluntarily combine their genes with those of beasts to boost their strength and survive among the stars.

But beastfolk genes have a flaw. Every so often, they suffer a mental breakdown and turn into mindless beasts. Only green plants can ease their condition.

In the future, however, resources are scarce, pollution is severe, and a single green plant is hard to come by. That is, until Jing Lin opens a flower and plant shop.

Orchids, narcissus, cockleburs

Jasmine, lilies, gardenias

Bluebells, begonias, tulips...

There are no green plants Jing Lin won't sell, only ones the beastfolk haven't thought of.

Third shop: A movie theater and karaoke shop in the middle of the ocean

Fourth shop: A hot pot and hot spring village in an icy apocalypse

Fifth shop, sixth shop...

Reading guide:

* A cozy slice-of-life story with a slow pace. Everyone's welcome to visit Dragon Island and raise the little dragon hatchlings online.

* There is a couple, one-on-one and sexually inexperienced. The love interest is a traditional dragon clan patriarch, a fatherly type. Romance comes later; before the protagonist grows up, it's familial affection only.

* Plot-focused. If you notice any plot holes, please tell the author so they can fix them. I have a bad memory.
