Spring's lush and green, a fox wanders free.
A story about spring, foxes, and immortals.
Pairing: A deranged, constantly raving, sadistic pursuer × a scheming straight man cursed with bad romances; younger man pursues older man and turns him gay
[Synopsis]
In my previous life, I saw him as my rival. He easily took everything I had, leaving me to die miserably. I became a ghost with fragmented memories, mistakenly took him for a close friend and lifesaving confidant from my life, and in the end, he ran a sword straight through my soul.
In this life, I was lucky enough to start over. I had read the heavenly text, studied the book of fate, and learned where he came from.
It turned out he hadn't come here for the so-called marriage arrangement between their families. He was here to stain his path to the heavens, one that rejected love and desire, with the blood of his victims.
Back on the day we first met,
The little fox hugged his furry tail and made a wish to the magic lamp: "Lamp, oh lamp, you've already taken eight of my nine tails. Can you grant my wish this time?"
The deeper the love, the deeper the hatred. What you can't have is exactly what you insist on pursuing.
[Reader's Guide]
1. Classic melodrama, secret identities, misunderstandings, enemies-to-lovers, reborn revenge, love and hate, coercive pursuit, immortals enduring tribulations, interspecies tragic romance, and an unrequited love that turns a straight man gay.
There's cultivation and the pursuit of the Dao, but at heart, this is a light, sweet (?) romance.
2. Both leads have human flaws. The story includes real violence and coercive love. The pursuer is completely crazy, not a normal person, and the pursued isn't truly pure and good either! He's full of schemes and holds grudges. He'll fight back for revenge. The process is brutal, but the ending is a sweet happy ending! Run if that's not for you!
3. The main story is told in first person from the pursued's perspective, with a separate section from the pursuer's. Novella length.
4. The synopsis is a broad outline. The actual story is more complicated, with multiple worlds and secret identities. If things don't seem to match the synopsis yet, don't worry... It just means this bucket of melodrama hasn't been dumped out yet. I don't know when I'll write it, so I've locked it for now.
Theme: Mistaking jealousy from someone of the opposite sex for love
