My Imperial Brother Visits in Dreams

Silly Beauty vs. Scheming Green Tea

Blurb:

In the year she came of age, Jiang Baozhen, the adopted daughter of the Empress and Princess Yaoying, began inexplicably dreaming of things to come. At first, they were only small matters. But one night, her closest brother, Xiao Chen, appeared in her dream. In those hazy, passionate dreams, Xiao Chen did everything to her, whether he should or shouldn't.

"Do you like this?"

His warm breath brushed her neck as he took her earlobe between his lips and asked in a husky voice.

Her heart said no, but a soft moan escaped her lips.

Jiang Baozhen couldn't accept how outrageous she was in her dreams, nor could she face Xiao Chen. All she could do was keep her distance.

Yet the events of her dreams still came to pass.

Xiao Chen leaned over and pinned Jiang Baozhen in a corner of the daybed. After his storm of demands, he asked in a low, hoarse voice, coaxing her, "Don't marry your dear Xue. Marry me instead, won't you?"

Remembering how Xiao Chen had carried her off from her wedding in her dream, she trembled all over.

Jiang Baozhen had always believed that on a sweltering summer afternoon when she was fourteen, she had accidentally gotten drunk and her betrothed, to whom she was promised as an infant, had secretly taken advantage of her. She agonized over it for a long time, hoping to find the right moment to end their engagement.

Only later did she learn that the person who had quietly slipped into her room that day was Xiao Chen.

It turned out everything had been tangled up from the start.
