If you asked Xu Zhili what the most awkward thing in the world was,

she would definitely say, "Attending my ex-boyfriend's celebration banquet."

Fu Jingchen, a sought-after architectural designer overseas, caused a sensation in the architecture world as soon as he returned to China.

Xu Zhili thought that after knowing Fu Jingchen for so many years, they weren't exactly childhood sweethearts, but they had at least been close since they were young. When they broke up because he cheated on her, she had kept quiet and let them part with dignity.

But after they reunited, his indifference, sarcasm, and all his other strange behavior made it clear that he believed he was the one who had been wronged in their past relationship.

Her hand at her side clenches tighter and tighter. Angry and embarrassed, Xu Zhili refuses to back down. "There are plenty of people who'd be happy to play with President Fu. As for me, I'll play with anyone, just not you."

She's always been good at twisting the knife in his heart. Seeing Fu Jingchen's expression grow even darker and more frightening, she adds, "After all... a good horse doesn't return to old pastures."

Five years after their breakup, the two finally fall out for good.
