Faking Amnesia to Get a Happy Ending with My Dream Guy

Ice-cold beauty x scheming charmer

Chi Shuyu fell in love with Gu Hechuan at first sight.

Gu Hechuan was an aloof beauty who kept his distance from women. He threw the love letters she gave him straight into the trash, and always managed to avoid the chance encounters she planned day after day.

One day, a gossipy friend saw through Chi Shuyu's feelings. Too embarrassed to admit the truth, Chi Shuyu claimed that the person she loved wasn't Gu Hechuan, but her long-distance boyfriend overseas. After people repeatedly pried into the relationship, Chi Shuyu couldn't keep making things up, so she lied and said her boyfriend had died in a plane crash.

Although she'd gained a legendary dead ex who was the love of her life, at least no one kept pestering her to get married.

While she was painting in the countryside, she ran into Gu Hechuan. After an accident, he was uncharacteristically disheveled, having fallen and broken his leg before passing out in the countryside.

Chi Shuyu got an idea.

She pretended to have lost her memory and insisted that Gu Hechuan was her ex. She forced him to date her, threatening not to get him treatment otherwise.

If his legs weren't treated in time, he could be permanently disabled. Gu Hechuan swallowed his humiliation and accepted his fate.

When the Gu family found him, Gu Hechuan left without a backward glance.

After Gu Hechuan left, Chi Shuyu panicked. Once she came to her senses, she began to fear the Gu family's revenge.

She quickly left the countryside.

Back home, Gu Hechuan couldn't stop thinking about the little country girl calling him "Brother Gu" in her honey-sweet voice. At last, he made up his mind: he wanted to be the substitute for the little country girl's idealized ex. If she wanted a substitute, then so be it. He'd accept his fate.

But when he went back, he learned that the girl's family had found her. She had disappeared, lost in the vast sea of humanity.

Everyone knew Gu Hechuan was searching for a country girl like a madman.

Chi Shuyu clung to her secret identity. Come on, is he really that petty? Why won't he leave her alone?

Later, Gu Hechuan found her after all. As he held her by the waist, imprisoning her in his embrace, Chi Shuyu's survival instinct brought out her acting skills once again. With an earnest, innocent expression, she said, "Mr. Gu, I've lost my memory. Have we met?"

Gu Hechuan's eyes reddened, and he was on the verge of madness. This time, he couldn't even get the chance to be her substitute?
