Entwined

1. As a top-tier star in the business world, Shen Sixing comes from a prestigious family, is impeccably handsome, and has an extraordinary air about him. He's a prominent figure in high society.

Yet Yan Qing, who's practically his childhood friend, refuses to be impressed by him.

A friend asked Yan Qing what kind of man she liked. She raised an eyebrow. "Handsome ones, but not a man who's 185 centimeters tall with a beauty mark at the corner of his eye. And I especially don't like men surnamed Shen."

Her friend was speechless.

You might as well just say Shen Sixing's name.

Later, when she learned Yan Qing was going to marry Shen Sixing in an arranged marriage, her friend was flabbergasted and asked, "Have your standards changed?"

Yan Qing replied confidently, "Have you ever heard the saying, 'If you hate him, marry him and make his life miserable'?"

Some time after the wedding, her friend asked curiously, "How's your plan going?"

Yan Qing's face fell. "It's going great, except I got it backward. I feel like I'm the one being tormented."

Her friend: "..."

2. Shen Sixing had always been different from other kids his age. He seemed especially mature, and he was dazzling at school, but his cold, distant personality earned him the reputation of an untouchable flower on a high peak.

He was often held up as an example of someone else's child and compared with Yan Qing. Over time, the more Yan Qing saw of this boy who never cracked a smile, the more she disliked him. She even came up with the wicked idea of dragging him down from his pedestal.

But she never succeeded.

So Shen Sixing remained the opposite of her "ideal partner," and her friend would sometimes joke,

Why don't you just fight him?

Well... now they do fight, just at home...
