[New synopsis posted on 12/22/2023. The old synopsis was posted on April 5 of the same year and can be found on Weibo. The general premise is unchanged, but I've fleshed it out.] SC, HE, a record of raising a disciple who went astray, with many personal additions.
The three things Ming Jiucing was best known for:
First: She was born with immortal bones, a once-in-a-thousand-years talent. She cared for all under heaven and ascended to godhood within a century.
Second: She lived alone, yet had a young disciple at her side. Raised by her from childhood, the unruly child was a demon seed.
Third: Years later, the demon seed took root and blossomed. Ming Jiucing ascended to godhood, then descended to the mortal realm. Four years later, the goddess fell and the demon was executed.
Everyone mourned her, but she was reborn and returned to the day she had picked up her wicked disciple. She was about to kill the child when the little ball of fluff got up and babbled, calling her "Big Sister."
She couldn't bring herself to do it. She named the child Fang Feixu and raised her by her side once more.
Fang Feixu gradually grew up. She was bold and flamboyant, and at seventeen, she climbed into Ming Jiucing's bed.
Her master in public, her big sister in private.
Fang Feixu was born without two of her seven souls. From then on, she couldn't tell good from evil or right from wrong. She hurt people as a child, and killed them as a teenager... Everyone hated her and wanted her dead.
At nine, she was rejected by her fellow disciples and cursed with the Heart-Ripping Curse. At eighteen, her own master sealed her in the Abyss. That same year, Ming Jiucing took on a new disciple. Fang Feixu died alone in the Abyss, with no one to mourn her.
Years after her sentence ended, a demon crawled out from beneath the Abyss. Only then did everyone learn that the once badly wounded girl had died there long ago. The year Ming Jiucing became a god and descended to the mortal realm, she held Fang Feixu's body and wept inconsolably.
When Fang Feixu opened her eyes again, a sword was pressed against her throat. Once she recognized the person before her, she called out in a babyish voice, "Big Sister," and managed to survive.
In her previous life, she had loved Ming Jiucing. She accepted the curse and the Abyss's confinement only to be a good disciple. Now, all she could think about was how to kill her.
But her master never abandoned her again. Even with a dagger in her heart, she went down to the underworld to retrieve the two souls Fang Feixu had lost.
Later, Fang Feixu atoned for her sins, let go of worldly attachments, and finally found fulfillment. Yet her master climbed into her bed in the dead of night.
[Important] There is some non-consensual love and obsessive pursuit. All the angst is already in the synopsis, so it's just a little heartbreaking.
Theme: Cherish what you have when given another chance
