This story will go VIP on September 3. The VIP version will start from Chapter 17, so if you've read those chapters, please don't buy them again.
Quick version of the blurb:
A life full of questions about why it exists cannot become a king.
A king is a god who must never be wrong. Such a god suffers far too much.
A god's musings and monologue on existence, memory, and responsibility.
Full blurb:
■ accepted an invitation from the Atlas Institute to study the pyramids in Egypt. Along the way, an unprecedented sandstorm struck, leaving ■ on the brink of death.
In the moments before death, a brilliant blue screen burst open before ■: the Descender banner was activated! ★5 identity "King Deshret" successfully obtained!
■: What? Become a king? Me? Do I really have to do this?
A strange yet familiar male voice chuckled softly. "...Go and experience the fate that must come."
And so, he began a journey through worlds.
King Deshret of Sumeru foresaw the destruction that awaited him. To fight against the cruel "Heavenly Principles," King Deshret summoned a Descender to take his place.
The one who answered the call was ■, wandering among the sea of stars. ■, who had taken King Deshret's place while asleep, awoke in the year of the pigeon carrying a branch.
Suddenly becoming an Alter Ego of both Ozymandias and King Deshret, and turning into a god in an instant, ■, now named Umonra, was stunned: Who am I? Where am I? What am I supposed to do?
It was only after the divine AI built into his solar barge explained everything in detail that he accepted this bizarre experience, though with mixed feelings.
Taking over from King Deshret, his savior, Umonra made a long study of the situation before deciding to lead the desert people toward prosperity (?).
As he happily farmed in the desert, Umonra befriended two dear (big) sisters: the Goddess of Flowers, Nabu Malikata, and the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.
As their nation flourished, the shadows of fate crept closer. Determined to seek the truth for the sake of his dear friends and people, what path would Umonra take, and what choices would he make?
And what sparks would fly between him and his new ally, Morax?
But even Morax never imagined that in the distant future, he would steal their family's youngest brother, his little sun, right in front of all four of his guardians. And he himself, as a dragon, would be even older than the other party's guardians.
King Deshret / Goddess of Flowers / Greater Lord / Little Grass: Morax, you *beautiful Sumeru swear word*...
Content warnings:
1. I'll update daily whenever possible. Slow-burn, serious epic with an ensemble cast and a male lead. Morax appears around the middle. The early chapters mostly involve farming in the desert and the King, Flower, and Tree getting along.
2. This is one of a series inspired by the Sabzeruz Festival main quest in Genshin Impact Version 3.0.
Specifically, the premise is based on an idea extrapolated from the Sabzeruz Festival: Teyvat itself is one huge Sabzeruz Festival, a repeating cycle.
3. Since Genshin Impact updates too slowly and has revealed little about its deeper lore, and because my own story uses many fundamental worldbuilding details that have not been clearly stated and relate to the original main story,
I hereby solemnly declare that I will selectively incorporate information released after February 8, 2023, when Genshin Impact was at Version 3.4. I will not include every piece of news, information, or lore.
So you can regard this story as a parallel world based on my own ideas.
In short, this is me covering my bases. I can't take another official-story backstab.
4. This series also involves a large world I have been planning for a long time, so it includes my own headcanon. My headcanon, my headcanon, my headcanon.
As I said, if you think the lore is off, please treat it as a parallel world.
(That said, I still want to respect the original work, so whenever it doesn't conflict with my story, I'll try to incorporate the original lore.)
5. The golden rule of this story: Any differences are my headcanon. Any similarities are purely coincidental.
6. The characters' values do not represent the author's.
7. Haha, this story has turned completely into an ensemble piece. I can only promise that Umonra will remain the most important viewpoint character, but... writing an epic without turning it into an ensemble is a bit much to ask. JPG
8. There may be warnings I've forgotten. No worries, I'll add them if I think of any.
Theme: Coordinate the desert's development and build a better Sumeru.
Teacher!!! This is my only wish before I die, teacher! Please ask if we are be! You don't know how to knife Little Sun, right? Teacher, he's not the Red King, he's Little Sun! In this case, their fate should be different QAQ
The fattening has equaled, let's keep raising it. I don't have any thoughts about the Flower God. The established ending of the old Mi family is tragic. The characters written by the teacher are very charming and vivid. The result is as tragic as the old Mi family. It is also a bit tricky to write a second creation of a fan. The flower god and the grass god and the original Red King have plans. It is voluntary not to know Little Taiyang, but I still feel a little sad when I look at it. Little Taiyang should not just follow the path of the original Red King without knowing anything, right?! According to Little Yang's character, he has to take a different path.
Just read this book! One look at a silent QAQ Madam, you really love hair knives (screaming). After raising it for a while, I came back and watched it, and I felt that my whole person was overwhelmed by sadness, whether it was the grass and flowers that died generously, or the red who finally embraced the world and embraced herself, or the Tower King and Wendy (they are so miserable, although my wife didn't write it down in detail, but just the outline made me a little bit dead QAQ), or the Ye and everyone who fought for the world again and again, oh! And the most important thing is my little sun. The interaction with the emperor is very good, but what I care more about is the terms they said when they signed the contract. It is the little sun who decided to follow the established path to the previous ending. It is the tragedy of knowing everything but being unable to change anything. Sadness is human sadness. I respect all people's choices, especially those who are great. Even if the process may be tragic... But this does not prevent me from crying after knowing it. I am proud and I will not stop it, but it does not mean that I will not cry, Mrs.!!!! So please! Please!!!! Can you stop using the knife? Woohoo! Heroes can't be surrounded by regrets and misses! Mrs!!!!!! Give them, give everyone a happy ending (holding my head and crying), Little Sun also has the promise of reunion in the sand sea! Let him be well, okay? Isn't it okay that the main body shouldn't have any trouble? QAQ
Although there are not many demon gods in the land of grass, what should we do with the remnants of the demon gods after their death? Especially the three demon gods who pretended to surrender, I feel that their residue will be more sinister.
Will this dear friend be reincarnated to Zhongli, thus facilitating the meeting between the two? When will you start writing emotional lines? 🙏
I'm thinking about a question, Little Sun is so good, and birds and grass are bound to live forever (what my wife wrote before probably means that they can also become immortals with their own efforts), how on earth did the doctor do it in a country where all members of the Little Sun, especially his own family, are alive for 800 generations, are they direct disciples of the Sun? (Thinking)
Great, we Sumeru will finally have our own Gravity Dragon!
Is the boy's voice actually like that of Tai Gongwang?
C's pants are super open ()
Grandmother! The author you follow is alive 😭
