Why Are There So Many Affairs in Beika Town for Me to Investigate?

No, we wouldn’t accept your claim that eating can temporarily improve your crime-solving abilities...” “Detective Kawakami, please stop beating up the suspects. Maybe you should go investigate an affair instead.” The novel consists of five original cases, one mystery to solve, and an underlying plot. The cases make up 70% of the story. There’s plenty of time to get out of here. Don’t tell me, though. I’d be sad. This isn’t a wish-fulfillment story. In short, it’s about a villainous little boss who turns over a new leaf, gets reset to level one, and has to work their way back to max level. There are lots of foreshadowed clues. The author doesn’t think the heroine has been made stupid, and there’s nothing I can do about Aoyama’s setting that everyone is highly intelligent. I can’t have her steamroll Edogawa. Except for the heroine, everyone is a cryptic source of clues. The one who actually solves the cases and explains everything from the main point of view is still you, the detective. 1. The story takes place after the Conan finale, so no one can be saved in the main text. 2. Technology and productivity are roughly at the level of the early 21st century, but for various reasons, technology has nothing to do with you. 3. The male lead is a ghost early on. Most of the story features him as Scotland, and he mainly has the attitude shown in the blurb. Your relationship is poor for quite some time. 4. This is written in second person. In third person, the heroine would seem crazy. In first person, I would seem crazy. 5. Always remember: the world has always been hostile to you. 6. This is a world where only the heroine has been weakened. 7. There’s very little romance early on, and a little more than I expected later. No one is lovesick. You’re dealing with the cold and ruthless Detective Kawakami and undercover Scotland. 8. Since I’ve already written this far, and people keep asking about it in the comments on Chapter One, I might as well admit that the agency’s location is one of the clues. This is not a Batkid story. Theme: Being human is more than just having a human form. It means striving for love, hope, and emotion.
