I Happened to Pick Up a Major Villain

[The top is the one being pursued!!! Fu Wensheng is the bottom!!]

Fang Si is a kindhearted young scholar. While out one day, he comes across an astonishingly beautiful man.

The beauty is badly injured. Afraid he might die out there, Fang Si takes him home.

He tends to him with the best food and care, originally planning to send him home once he recovers.

But the beauty is frail, falling a little ill every three days and seriously ill every five.

He's practically a sickly invalid, forever dependent on medicine.

Fang Si has no choice but to nurse him carefully. The beauty gazes at him pitifully and says, "I have nothing to repay you with, Young Master. If you don't mind..."

Fang Si's heart is finally moved, and he cherishes and protects the man even more.

News spreads from the capital: the regent, the greatest villain in the court, is dead, and the corrupt officials have been thoroughly purged.

The whole country curses the wicked man as a monster guilty of every crime imaginable.

The beauty in Fang Si's arms looks up and quietly asks, "Husband, do you also think Fu Wensheng was an irredeemable demon?"

Fang Si: "Rumors aren't worth believing."

The beauty asks again, "Then, Husband, do you want imperial power and unimaginable riches?"

Fang Si assumes the beauty is joking. A few days later, soldiers surround his little house.

Without a second thought, Fang Si shields the beauty behind him.

Then every soldier drops to their knees. "We pay our respects to the Regent. We welcome the Regent back to the palace."

Fang Si: "?"

Fu Wensheng: "Husband, I'm Fu Wensheng."
