[Enchanting Consort vs. Wise Emperor]

Xiao Dong fell in love with Meng Man'er at first sight.

Although she was only the illegitimate daughter of Meng, a vice minister in the Ministry of Rites, Xiao Dong overruled all objections and welcomed her as his Noble Consort.

From then on, Noble Consort Meng was the most favored woman in the harem.

Xiao Dong never imagined that Noble Consort Meng only wanted to have a child with him.

And once she had succeeded, she ran away.

Three months earlier:

Spring had arrived, and Hua Manman, the Valley Master of Hundred Blossoms Valley, wanted a child.

According to custom, the four elders compiled a list of the finest men in the land to choose a husband for their leader.

But Hua Manman didn't like a single one of them. The father of my child has to be the most exceptional man in the world.

An elder asked, What makes a man the most exceptional in the world?

Hua Manman: A face like a flower and the moon, outstanding character, and mastery of both the literary and martial arts.

The elder sighed. This will be difficult. There is one man who fits the bill, but he probably wouldn't want you.

Hua Manman put her hands on her hips. Impossible! Who is it?

The elder: Xiao Dong, ruler of the Great Yue Kingdom.

Hua Manman took on the alias Meng Man'er. After spending three months clinging to Xiao Dong, she finally became pregnant.

She ran off, delighted.

[The male lead has an empress, but their relationship is purely a partnership]

Coming soon: Love the Femme Fatale Against All Odds

Everyone says Shu Yiwan is a femme fatale.

Her beauty is so breathtaking that she can bring a nation to ruin.

For her sake, the ruler of the Xikang Kingdom ordered the entire family of Shu Yiwan's fiance, Xie Yun, to be slaughtered.

The Xie family had served loyally for three generations, but Shu Yiwan nearly brought them to extinction.

After narrowly escaping, Xie Yun sought refuge in the rival Great Qian Kingdom.

To avenge his family, Xie Yun persuaded the ruler of Great Qian, Zhao Changhuan, to send troops against Xikang.

Within a few months, Xikang's army crumbled, and Great Qian's forces reached the capital. The ruler of Xikang fled, and officials and civilians alike scattered at the first sign of danger.

Shu Yiwan fled with her family, too, but they got separated along the way, and she was captured by a crude Great Qian officer called Zhao the First.

To stay alive, she pretended to be a country girl and waited on Zhao the First.

Luckily, she was clever and quick-witted, and Zhao the First didn't see through her act. Not only did he spare her life, he also gave her food and drink.

Her life there was tolerable enough.

But gradually, she realized that Zhao the First seemed to be a man of considerable importance.

One day, while she was half asleep, she suddenly heard someone report outside the tent, "The maid by your side is Shu Yiwan, the femme fatale. You absolutely must not let her live!"

"Then what do you suggest we do?" she heard Zhao the First, lying beside her, ask.

"A femme fatale brings ruin to a country. She should be executed by a thousand cuts!" the man outside shouted.

Theme: Cherish the people in front of you. Love is right by your side.
