My Ex-Fiancé Struck It Rich After I Broke Off Our Engagement

Xie Ying and Jing Song were betrothed as children. Later, the Jing family fell on hard times, and Xie Ying's father broke off the engagement.

But fortune has a way of turning: Years later, Jing Song became a celebrated general, while Xie Ying's father was dismissed from office and the Xie family struggled to make ends meet.

Just then, Jing Song returned home after being made a marquis, leaving the Xie family on edge.

Before long, Jing Song came to ask for Xie Ying's hand in marriage. Faced with the towering, muscular Jing Song and the dozen or so imposing guards behind him, the Xie family had no choice but to agree.

Everyone sighed: Xie Ying was truly doomed to a tragic fate. The Xie family had only themselves to blame for looking down on Jing Song back then.

Xie Ying braced herself for Jing Song to take revenge and mistreat her. But after they married, things seemed to turn out differently from what she'd expected.

Jing Song: To be honest, when I asked for her hand again, there was a tiny bit of revenge in it. Just a tiny bit. Then she kissed me once, and it was gone.
