Oba Teizo, the protagonist of No Longer Human
Nakahara Chuuya discovered him one night. As Dazai's partner, they rarely got to spend a night resting in a safe house because of a mission, though they couldn't stand each other...
Unable to sleep, Chuuya went downstairs for a walk and saw this scene
Dazai Osamu was leaning against the window. Moonlight spilled over him as he gazed outside, a cigarette between his fingers. Wisps of smoke drifted through the air, and his youthful face bore an unmistakable air of weariness.
No, wait... This guy Dazai smokes?!!
(This should be a short story. I don't know when I'll write it, and updates will be sporadic. If you like it, please add it to your favorites!)
