I've recently been writing short stories involving mysteries.

I'm posting this here because another site rejected it. I only found out later that it was because I hadn't written a melodramatic romance plot. But I can't write those, since I don't enjoy reading them myself. Still, I didn't want this short story to go to waste, especially after spending so much time on it, so I'm posting it here instead.

I've done my best to keep it realistic, and spent a lot of time researching all the case-related details. If anything isn't professional enough, it's because I couldn't find the information or my knowledge wasn't up to scratch. I'm just a novelist, not an expert.
