After Being Forced to Promote Things with My Ex-Boyfriend

When Ji Qingyun learned that he was living in a novel and would die at the age of thirty, he gave up trying altogether.

At the peak of his popularity, he left the entertainment industry and set off to travel the world, leaving all his troubles behind!

Four years later, to repay a director's kindness, Ji Qingyun agreed to star in a gay romance film.

Only when filming was about to begin did he learn that his co-star was Yue Cang, who had just won the Best Actor award and was enjoying unparalleled fame.

Ji Qingyun stared silently at the script, which was full of intimate scenes.

Yue Cang... was his ex-boyfriend.

And the protagonist of this world.

Protagonist Yue Cang had a bright future ahead of him, while side character Ji Qingyun was living on borrowed time.

According to the plot, they should have had nothing to do with each other. Their relationship had been a mistake.

·

Since their breakup years ago had been far from amicable, Ji Qingyun worried their history might affect the filming.

So, when they were alone, Ji Qingyun tactfully tested the waters.

Yue Cang said coldly, "Professional actors don't let personal feelings interfere with work."

Ji Qingyun: ...That puts my mind at ease.

Ji Qingyun began maintaining a strictly professional relationship with Yue Cang. Outside of filming, the two never interacted.

Ji Qingyun had not the slightest intention of getting back together, so he pretended not to notice Yue Cang's eyes always lingering on him, or Yue Cang's racing heart during their intimate scenes...

Nor did he react when Yue Cang passed by as he was giving a newcomer some pointers and said expressionlessly, "Teacher Ji is still the same, looking after the younger generation."

Then one night, after a cast dinner, Yue Cang got drunk, and Ji Qingyun had no choice but to take him back to the hotel.

As soon as they entered the room, a thoroughly drunk Yue Cang clung to him and burst into tears. "Ge, I've missed you so much... I've been good, too. If I were as good as I used to be, would you treat me a little better?"

Ji Qingyun: "..."

He suddenly remembered meeting Yue Cang five years earlier.

Yue Cang had just come of age and was working as an extra on set. Ji Qingyun was the lead actor.

Yue Cang always looked at him with eager puppy eyes, then called him "Ge" in the sweetest, most obedient voice.
