After a Couch Potato Gets Bound to an Overwork System

Shan Xiaoxiao was a pretty laid-back student, but she put in some effort in high school and got into a decent university. When filling out her application, she picked the popular computer science major. After starting college, she figured she would have fun first and work hard later.

So skipping class, copying homework, playing games, and going out became her daily routine during freshman year. But by the end of the year, she had failed a course and would have to take a make-up exam when school resumed.

Then, thanks to a chance encounter, Shan Xiaoxiao got bound to a grindset System, and her life changed dramatically.

"Host, your first task is to study advanced mathematics and make sure you pass the make-up exam when school starts."

"Host, your second task is to study English and make sure you pass the CET-4 exam when school starts."

"Registration hasn't even opened yet. Why do I have to start preparing for English already?!"

Shan Xiaoxiao wanted to slack off, but she soon discovered that if she failed to complete her tasks, every entertainment function on her phone would be disabled. To earn the pitiful one or two hours of internet access, she started working hard to finish her tasks.

Under the System's "coercion," Shan Xiaoxiao went from passing her make-up exam to scoring over 90 on tests and winning prizes in competitions. She began a new chapter in her life.

Bonus scene: After Shan Xiaoxiao successfully completed her tasks for seven consecutive days, she received a notification from the System:

"Host, congratulations! You have completed tasks for seven days in a row and earned three hours of internet access, valid for one month."

When she scored at least 90 on a midterm in one of her subjects, she got this message: "Congratulations, Host! You scored at least 90 in all three midterm subjects and have earned a 12-hour internet access reward with no expiration date."
