Believing that Takeru has forgotten his time in darkness, Kari tries to escape the past. But Dagomon summons her once again, and these creatures come to the real world to possess people. Takeru takes on the identity of "Silver Nine" and stays by Kari's side.

Takeru's corruption once caused a chain reaction, and the Gate of Heaven unleashed enemies from the past. Piedmon lies in wait in the human world, intent on taking revenge on the old nemesis who banished him to a chaotic alternate dimension.
