The World Is Always Reloading

Jian Hua was an utterly ordinary person. After ten years of hard work, he'd finally saved enough for a down payment. But when he woke up, he'd gone back ten years, with nothing to his name.

Life had gotten me nowhere, so I had no choice but to start over and work hard again.

After slaving away at my old job for another five years, I treated myself to a Manchu-Han Imperial Feast on my birthday. But before I could take a bite, I was sent back to the past again, chopsticks in hand.

Jian Hua: "...Damn you, Heaven! You're messing with me!"

But this was only the beginning.

After being sent back and starting over again and again for no apparent reason, Jian Hua decided to lie flat. He didn't want to work hard anymore. All he wanted was to memorize the lottery numbers.

By chance, he finally discovered who was behind the world's repeated resets. Jian Hua grabbed the man by the collar. "I remember you, you little punk! Tell me, did you cause all this? Send me back right now!"

As a member of the Anomaly Squad, Fu Yejing was responsible for eliminating disaster entities in the Inner World and protecting the people of the Outer World. If the disaster entities spread, the entire world could be destroyed. During a massive disaster, all his teammates who had fought alongside him died. In a moment of crisis, Fu Yejing awakened his power and reset time, returning to the past.

When time was turned back, the disasters that had been eliminated would not reappear, but people would lose their memories. If time were reset enough times, perhaps the world would be free of disasters.

From then on, Fu Yejing walked a lonely road. He eliminated disasters all by himself, then returned to the past all by himself. No one knew what he had done, no one applauded him, and no one walked beside him.

Fu Yejing had always known this was a lonely, desolate road. Covered in wounds, he tended to them alone, but could only keep going without hesitation until the end of his life.

Until one day, a young man came out of the light and grabbed him, saying, "I remember you. I won't forget you. I'll stay by your side and keep walking with you."

Jian Hua: "...Wait! That's not what I said, is it...?"

Fu Yejing smiled. "Darling, don't sweat the details. It's close enough."
