Shen Mingqiang never thought she would see Zhou Ji again.
Back then, he wasn't the darling of heaven, a boy pursued by countless girls. Instead, he had fallen into the gutter and was working as a mechanic at a motorcycle shop.
She had imagined their reunion countless times, but never like this. Shen Mingqiang didn't dare approach him.
Later, they met again at the hospital, where he needed treatment for a gunshot wound.
She was wearing a mask and didn't say a word. Even her own mother wouldn't have recognized her.
Zhou Ji lifted an eyebrow and smiled, then softly called out, "Old classmate, long time no see."
Shen Mingqiang's hand trembled slightly as she stitched up his wound. Her eyes darted away as she replied coldly, "You've got the wrong person."
At that, Zhou Ji's smile widened. He didn't make a sound as she stitched him up.

Zhou Ji had been the object of Shen Mingqiang's eleven-year-long secret crush. From her school days to her entry into the working world, he was always the one in her heart.
The one who falls in love first is the loser. When it came to Zhou Ji, Shen Mingqiang had never won.
At a class reunion, she got very drunk for once. When she was alone, she cried her heart out.
She told Zhou Ji, "Zhou Ji, I'm never going to like you again!"
But before she could finish, Zhou Ji grabbed her by the waist and kissed her passionately. No longer able to hold back, he said, "Shen Mingqiang, you're only allowed to like me."
It wasn't long before they got engaged.
The day before their engagement, she asked Zhou Ji, "Aren't you afraid there'll never be another word from me in your world?"
After a moment's thought, Zhou Ji clenched his fist and replied, "No. But I am afraid there'll be news of me in your world."
"Little Rose, you've had a crush on me for eleven years, and I've been unable to let you go for nine. I've missed you so much."
