Luo Xubai is a rescue robot. He arrived in a mission world with his final career assignment: redeem the major villain.

But after arriving, Luo Xubai discovered that he had lost contact with his organization and could no longer tell who the major villain was.

It was no big deal, though. As a rescue robot, Luo Xubai believed it made no difference whom he saved.

Luo Xubai couldn't stand to see anyone suffer in front of him.

When he saw an elf senior being ostracized, Luo Xubai stepped in to help.

When he came across his vampire roommate, who was suppressing pained gasps in a dark corner, Luo Xubai offered him warmth.

When he spotted a mermaid standing off to the side, silently weeping, Luo Xubai reached out with concern.

What Luo Xubai didn't know was that these people might look pitiful, but every one of them was a dangerous character.

The elf senior was ostracized because he was obsessed with learning the forbidden arts of the dark elves and had already made some progress. Everyone else stayed away because they were afraid he'd use them as test subjects.

The vampire roommate's pain was real, but all the mottled scars on his body were self-inflicted. In fact, he was deeply enamored with the pain he felt in his own body.

The mermaid's tears were only because sand had blown into his eyes. Just a few minutes earlier, he'd crushed an A-rank aberration with his bare hands. Its corpse was still lying nearby.

Shi He is useless. He's neither smart nor kind, and only got into this highly selective research institute through his family's connections. He uses his power to bully his colleagues and steal their findings, and that's the only reason he can stay at the institute.

The stolen findings give Shi He a taste for success, and he wants more. So he sets his sights on the brilliant scientist who's currently making waves.

Since he's a genius, surely he can provide Shi He with even more valuable research results, right?

Slander, coercion, seduction... Shi He uses every trick in the book.

He feels nothing, and even wants to laugh. With moves like these, there's no way this won't end in a bad ending.

But for some reason, the genius scientist doesn't get angry. Instead, he brings Shi He into his research and even offers him his own findings.

Story branch two: Strongest evolver × Hypocritical aberrant

Evolvers and aberrants are natural enemies from opposing factions.

Shi He dutifully plays the part of a hypocritical, ugly, dangerous aberrant.

The evolver should have killed Shi He on sight, but he hesitates.

After all, Shi He is just too beautiful and dazzling, utterly unlike those dark and disgusting aberrants.

Even when Shi He's claws pierce the evolver's chest, the evolver simply pulls them out gently and smiles as he praises Shi He for getting stronger.

Shi He: No, seriously, what's wrong with you?
