Love & Peace in a Mistaken-Identity Novel

[My next novel will be "Night Raids [Infinite]," featuring instances inspired by folk horror stories. I’ve put two upcoming novels below the blurb, so this may be a little long. Please bear with me.]

After a crowd crush, Yu Huan traveled to another world and became a fake young master from a wealthy family, with the same name as him.

After the fake young master and the real young master each returned to their rightful places, he refused to accept the reality that he was now an ordinary person. He forced his way into an elite academy and caused trouble all over campus, acting like a lunatic.

He wouldn’t study properly. Instead, he spent all day picking on the real young master, and he was jealous and hostile toward the rich and powerful young masters, offending nearly every member of the academy’s privileged second-generation crowd.

Everyone turned against him. They mocked and toyed with him, setting up “love traps” and “friendship schemes” to manipulate the fake young master. After he believed them, they cruelly told him it had all been fake.

“You didn’t actually think we’d be interested in you, did you?”

“Could you compare to even a single strand of that real young master’s hair?”

In the original story, the fake young master couldn’t take it anymore and eventually slashed his wrists.

And now Yu Huan has been handed this whole mess...

When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying beneath a man who looked like a male model in both face and figure.

The male model smiled and asked how he was going to pay for his services.

Yu Huan thought for a moment. “I only accept cash.”

The male model fell silent.

Yu Huan had never read a novel before. He didn’t know what it meant to transmigrate into a book, nor did he know what role his body had in the plot. All he knew was that he had a fresh start and could go to school again.

This was wonderful!

As for the lunatics in the original story, what did they have to do with him?

Since Yu Huan had no idea what the plot was, every step he took fell outside its course. Instead, he unexpectedly changed his original body’s fate and lived a life of his own.

Meanwhile, the people who had once mocked and humiliated him became completely infatuated with him without even realizing it.

But no matter how obsessed or regretful they were, they couldn’t get so much as an extra glance from him.

Pei Fanghe thought the fake young master of the Yu family had originally been stupid and crazy, but now he seemed to have lost his mind altogether.

Before Yu Huan declared, “Getting a pretty boy like myself to sleep with me is as easy as beckoning,” Pei Fanghe hadn’t paid him any attention at all.

Of course, Pei Fanghe wasn’t the only person Yu Huan had threatened to “sleep with.” He was simply “kind” enough to actually let Yu Huan do it once.

Pei Fanghe had expected to enjoy the show, but after that encounter, he realized the fake young master seemed different.

Pei Fanghe narrowed his eyes, growing increasingly intrigued.

◆◆◆ A few things to note ◆◆◆

1. They don’t actually sleep together at first. He’s underage; it’s just one person’s peculiar sense of fun.

2. The love interest is also a lunatic at first, and could be accused of playing with other people’s feelings. Of course, he’ll realize his mistakes. (Please don’t conflate a character’s actions with the author.)

3. The protagonist isn’t entirely virtuous either. He dated a supporting character to achieve his goals (the supporting character wasn’t innocent either, and they only dated for a month). Neither lead is written as perfect.

Escape means death. Staying means death too...

After transmigrating into the book, I couldn’t sleep at night. I thought about it day and night, trying to figure out how to stay alive. After weighing all my options, I decided I was suited to become that puppet emperor three years from now!

Now my only problem is surviving until then.

So I began my extreme survival-by-keeping-my-head-down journey, caught between two powerful men. Today I flatter one, tomorrow I play the other’s devoted puppy.

At last, the three-year deadline arrived...

The good news is, I limped to the ending with almost no health left.

The not-so-good news is, I lost my chastity, and I have no idea whose baby I’m carrying...
