Asakawa Kiyoi woke up in an unfamiliar body.
He had always been the sort to take things as they came. Besides, getting a life for free was a pretty sweet deal, so he hummed a tune as he prepared to collect the inheritance left by the body's former owner.
His good mood after coming back from the dead lasted until he found a police uniform in the closet. Asakawa Kiyoi's eyes widened in shock.
Shift, how did I end up as a cop?!
Tennessee, an executive in a transnational criminal organization, died and woke up in the body of the very kind of person he hated most.
Worse still, during police academy he ran into several faces that seemed awfully familiar.
Asakawa Kiyoi, growing numb by the day: I'm tired. Let the world end.
Notes:
1. A true criminal has transmigrated into a police academy student. He really was a criminal before transmigrating, but afterward he isn't even one anymore. Don't expect him to care much about his old bosses from his previous life.
2. That's right, the protagonist is the bomb expert from the story Test Subject, but with a background as a true criminal, so this story is different from that one.
3. To avoid spoilers, the stories go in this order: Test Subject, Reboot, then True Criminal.
Added on 2023-03-06: I've chosen Jingzhe as Kiyoi's birthday. I hope I can start posting next Jingzhe (setting a flag).
Second edit: Changed it to danmei. If there's a couple, it'll be Gin. Even if they don't get together, he'll still be the most special person.
Theme: If life had another possibility
