Hino Masashi is an outstanding police officer willing to sacrifice himself for others. After the conflict between the Red and Black sides ends, he travels back seven years.
Grateful for the chance to make up for past regrets, Hino Masashi lives through those seven years again.
Then, for some inexplicable reason, time resets once more.
Seven years, then another seven. Hino Masashi has no idea how long he’ll be trapped in this loop.
After several resets, he manages to rack up a string of bad endings.

Until one day, he learns that he is the protagonist of a commissioned story written by a shameless author for a patron who paid a fortune. His sole purpose is to be sacrificed for someone else.

Notes: 1. Still no CP. This is the original Hino Masashi, and he is a different person from Asahi Maki. I’m trying to write a protagonist who is truly good and beautiful.
2. The resets are not Hino Masashi’s choice. There are no forum posts; the truth is revealed through the chat logs between Zhe Zhe and the patron.
3. This is not a power fantasy! The male lead is a native of this world, firmly on the Red side and not an undercover agent. There are a few angsty moments.
4. Zhe Zhe is not the author. If you want to curse someone out, please try not to get the name wrong, or the author will cry.

Masashi is an ordinary person, but the author makes him flesh and blood, and I can completely sympathize with him. I quite like this protagonist.
