I Thought My Ex Was Picking Up Trash, but He Was Driving a Ferrari

I really loved my ex.

He was handsome and great at taking care of me.

But I knew full well that in today's society, getting together with a man who had nothing to his name wouldn't end well.

If he was poor, I'd have to struggle alongside him. And if he got rich someday, there was no guarantee he wouldn't change his mind.

So I dumped him. Before I did, I ran my hands over his pecs, abs, biceps, and the other things Jinjiang won't let me write about.

I told him I loved him so much that I couldn't let his already difficult life get even harder.

I was afraid I'd hold him back.

-

After we broke up, I started dating a rich guy.

My rich current boyfriend had a strong personality, a bad temper, and was incredibly controlling.

If it weren't for his money, I'd have ended things with him ages ago.

One day, he got drunk and told me to come pick him up in the middle of the night.

I pretended to be asleep, planning to brush him off.

But then he transferred a hundred thousand yuan to me.

Without a word, I headed out to pick him up, come rain or shine.

-

In the slanting rain, although I didn't light a cigarette, I developed the same bad habit as men everywhere: whenever the weather turned gloomy and I felt down, I started missing my ex.

But I knew he was probably picking through trash somewhere by the roadside.

While I was driving, the Tesla my current boyfriend had given me got scraped by a car in an obnoxiously loud color.

God knows how much I loved my evil little mouse.

The other driver was incredibly rude. He didn't even get out of the car, just tossed two hundred yuan for paint through a crack in the window.

I was about to ask for another two hundred to soothe my anger for the night.

The window slowly rolled down.

The man sitting in a Ferrari 488 was my broke ex.

I pulled out my payment QR code, flustered and annoyed. "Found yourself a sugar mama?"
