[Korean Manhwa-Style Fake Leveling Protagonist X Japanese Manga-Style World]
From the start, Xiao Zao had amnesia, was disabled, and had shrunk in size. With nothing but a System, from the moment she opened her eyes, she felt that she must be a lone wolf.
Later, after the System told her she had a mission to save the world, that feeling only grew stronger.
As a lone wolf, saving the world was only a prerequisite. Killing the “gods” stronger than her and trampling them underfoot was the true ending of her own story.
As a lone wolf, she would hone herself through brutal missions, gaining followers or items by killing monsters.
As a lone wolf, she should repay every slight, and occasionally play the fool to catch her enemies off guard. But if anyone picked a fight with her, they would face retaliation many times over.
As a lone wolf, she should be stern and cold, showing only the occasional bit of kindness to the humans she saved, and otherwise feigning civility with her enemies.
Though she was a lone wolf, she should also have a reliable support team.
It should include a summoner skilled at support, a doctor responsible for healing the team, a fool who asks questions and laughs inanely, a handsome and passionate childhood friend, and a gentle, kind childhood friend.
They would take care of the rear while she single-handedly rampaged through the front lines.
The day the world's crisis was resolved, her soul and body would truly reach their limits, ascending to become another kind of being who looked down upon the universe.
That was how it was supposed to go...
That was how it was supposed to go!
But why did people in this world later come rushing up beside her, shouting about friendship and bonds?
That can't be right, can it?!
The fool in charge of asking questions and laughing inanely, the white-haired Six Eyes: “Who are you calling a fool?!”
The Pokemon summoner who's not very good at support, some fox with weird bangs: “Satoru, she's definitely talking about you.”
The team doctor: “Oh~ You're at it again? I took a picture and sent it to Teacher Yaga.”
The handsome and passionate childhood friend, the gravity manipulator: “Ahem... Thanks for the compliment.”
The gentle and kind “childhood friend,” the bandage-covered man: “I've known since you were little that if I let you out of my sight, you'd run off. Where are you going this time? (Sinister smile)”
Is this right?
Why isn't it going the way she imagined?

A few things to know before reading (Check the box if you agree. Reading the story means you have read these notes):
(Disclaimer)(Disclaimer)(May your soul return!!!)
1. The pairing is with Dazai, a childhood-friends-to-lovers romance. I want to write some cuddly moments and scenes of Dazai worrying himself sick over the kid.
2. The blurb is from the protagonist's point of view. In truth, later on she becomes the strongest fighter in this story, the strongest being in all the universes. Her story follows something like the script of a crippled genius returning to her peak: not stronger, but stronger still. She's so powerful that even Verlaine and Rimbaud working together couldn't withstand three sword strikes from her. But I don't want to call this a story about a strong female lead, because that feels a bit like moral coercion.
This Xiao Zao is a little rascal~
3. While the author was on hiatus, I read a lot of Korean manhwa and novels and thought they were really cool, so I wanted to try adding some of those elements. The protagonist's personality will also be influenced by the protagonists in those works. She's not purely good, but she's not purely evil either.
If anything in the story seems familiar, don't panic. It's just that works about fighting through dungeon-like instances often reuse a lot of basic frameworks. Those frameworks are like the whole “fake heiress,” “Sentinel and Guide,” and “reborn and transmigrate” setup: very formulaic. I absolutely did not plagiarize; I came up with this myself while slacking off at work under the influence of those works. Anyway, I think it's pretty interesting.
The human brain is just that amazing. It's like how lots of people start speaking in an old-fashioned way after watching a period film.
If you want to use this as an excuse to pick a fight and make a big deal out of it, there's nothing I can do. I'm a person of good character, so all I can do is consider it baiting people into a flame war.
The works the author has actually read will be listed in the author's notes after chapter three.
4. Xiao Zao's personality and appearance are actually quite different... right? The girl on the character profile card is what Xiao Zao looks like.
5. Something I emphasize every time I start a new story: no writing advice, and don't say my protagonist is out of character. She's my protagonist! I apologize if any other characters are out of character, too. If it wasn't written by the original author, then as far as I'm concerned, it's out of character in my story.
6. Finally, this story is a heavily revised version of an older work. Thank you all for taking the time to read it. Apologies for everything, and may all demons and monsters be banished!
Theme: Humanity's fate is in its own hands
I feel like I'm very fragile in Dazai's eyes.
I feel a bit reluctant to part with the cat, but this one looks good too 😭 😭
