Dying Over and Over in the World of Detective Conan

*Main story told in third person

[Welcome to the world of Detective Conan.]

You wake up in an unfamiliar apartment and try to rush to work, but the world rejects you, and misfortune keeps striking.

You gradually get better at dodging falling paint cans, bird droppings, flowerpots, and even steel plates, but you still keep getting killed in accidents.

[Host has died. Beginning rollback.]

To stay alive, you have to seize your moment in the spotlight in the manga.

Sure, why not.

You turn in the bomber who killed Kenji Hagiwara, but the bomb still explodes right on schedule.

If you don't die in silence, you go crazy in silence.

After dying again and again, you finally get it. With your left hand, you threaten the police into coming down; with your right, you carry the detonator upstairs. You imitate Kenji Hagiwara, charging in with the bomb, then jump out the window just before it explodes.

When you open your eyes again, little Jinpei Matsuda is staring at you.

It's not the right time, but you can't help thinking of a picture: Little cat is very worried about you.jpg

[Content warnings]

Bungo Stray Dogs appears later in the story (if I actually manage to write that far).

Extremely out of character. Manga forum, secret identities, fake deaths, System: all the ingredients are here (strike that).

Not part of the scriptwriting team. The cards that can be laid on the table will be revealed very early.

The protagonist will make mistakes, some of which can't be undone even with a rollback.

Theme: None.
