My completed novel: About How My Classmates All Treat Me Like Their Son.

Hanyu Jin'an died, but then came back to life. However...

Random System (rubbing its hands): "So, Host, you still want to be alive, right?"

Hanyu Jin'an (taking a tactical step back): "I know how this goes. Tell me what you want first."

Random System (in a bright voice): "It's really simple! We just need you to play an ordinary passerby and give the protagonist a little information."

Hanyu Jin'an (full of confidence): "I see! A passerby? Easy!"

That was until Hanyu Jin'an saw a little boy in a blue suit and glasses rush past her toward a crime scene.

Hanyu Jin'an (smiling politely): "How about you just let me die for good?"

Forced to accept reality, Hanyu Jin'an was not thrilled, but hey, don't we all do what we must to stay alive?

So Hanyu Jin'an began appearing at all kinds of crime scenes.

At a company president's murder scene. ↓

Hanyu Jin'an looked at the corpse without batting an eye and told the police officer questioning her, "Yes, he was my business partner, but I heard he's been thinking about getting a divorce lately."

At a street accident involving an object falling from a height. ↓

Hanyu Jin'an brushed back her hair and yawned. "I think I saw this person arguing with someone last night."

"Why did I notice? Oh, because my house is nearby."

At an explosion at a manor. ↓

Hanyu Jin'an walked in with a lawyer and gave the police officers a polite smile. "This place is my manor. I just rented it out recently."

…

The detectives and police officers: Miss Hanyu, just how many homes and business partners do you have?!

The death rate for ordinary passersby in the Detective Conan world is extremely high. The Random System said it would give Hanyu Jin'an a secret identity to help her gather intelligence and make sure she stayed safe.

Hanyu Jin'an shed a tear of gratitude. "Where's my secret identity?"

Random System: "Don't rush, Host. Let me check!"

Hanyu Jin'an furrowed her brows, sensing that something was wrong.

The Random System stammered, "W-wah, Host, your secret identity went to the Black Organization!"

Hanyu Jin'an gave it a deathly smile. This somehow seems even less safe.

Passersby are always busy.

Lately, Hanyu Jin'an had been getting strange tasks. The System called them side quests for a minor character, such as...

[Hand a bouquet of flowers to someone at the entrance to the police headquarters]

Matsuda walked in, swinging his coat, and raised an eyebrow. "Are those for me?"

Hanyu Jin'an: If I said no, would you believe me?

[Cry alone on a deserted rooftop]

A coat appeared around her shoulders, and Officer Matsuda appeared beside her.

Hanyu Jin'an: ...

[Take your secret identity to the amusement park]

Secret identity: "Big Sis, I want to ride the roller coaster."

Matsuda happened to stroll up with a cigarette in his mouth, smiling knowingly. "Wow, it's only been a few days and you're already calling her Big Sis?"

Hanyu Jin'an: *subway grandpa staring.jpg*

Only at the very end did Hanyu Jin'an learn where these tasks came from.

Hanyu Jin'an: I'm so sorry for making you worry about my love life!
