Teasing the Imperial Preceptor

[Chapter 26 begins the reverse V, May 11: opening the danmei novel The Runaway After My Ex Betrayed Me. Next year: opening the historical romance The Crown Prince Is Pursuing Me Again]

Blurb:

A beautiful Imperial Preceptor with a heart as cold as ice has arrived at the palace. Apart from discussing the Dao with the Emperor, he hardly ever steps outside.

When the little princess Wen Shuning heard about him, she secretly ran off to catch a glimpse.

Afterward, she could neither eat nor sleep. Whatever she did, all she could think about was that fleeting sight of him.

Fortunately, the little princess was a woman of action.

After a few days of pining, she began visiting the Imperial Preceptor frequently.

She brought him pastries.

She brought him hairpins.

She brought him sachets.

Whatever the little princess thought of, she brought him.

But every gift was returned to her, untouched.

The Imperial Preceptor said that those who cultivated the Dao did not concern themselves with love.

The little princess left, crestfallen, and gave up from then on.

Who could have guessed that after she left, the Imperial Preceptor would feel... as if the whole world had become empty.

Jiang Hengsheng had been exceptionally gifted since childhood. He had followed his master in cultivating the Dao for many years, always remaining true to his principles without wavering.

Then, one day, he became the Imperial Preceptor, and a lively little beauty appeared at his side.

He found her impossible to ignore.

Countless times, he recited the Pure Heart Mantra, trying not to think about that sweet, innocent figure.

Yet he still met her in his dreams again and again.

At first, Jiang Hengsheng refused her with a cold expression.

Later, Jiang Hengsheng gradually began to waver.

And when, in a dream, Jiang Hengsheng instinctively drew her into his arms,

he understood that he had probably fallen for her.

The Princess's Residence.

Wen Shuning leaned lazily against Jiang Hengsheng's chest, feeling her slightly rounded belly as she gently tugged at his hair and asked, "Where are my pastries, hairpins, and sachets?"

Jiang Hengsheng kissed the top of her head and coaxed, "I'll make them for you myself, two of each."

A few things to know:

A sweet romance, one-on-one, both leads each other's first love.

An entirely fictional setting, with lots of original worldbuilding. Not recommended for applying the settings of other novels or real life.

A cold, reserved Imperial Preceptor x a sweet and adorable little princess.

Until one day, the Empress asked her to meet the newly installed Crown Prince of the Eastern Palace.

She stepped inside and found the guard seated in the hall, dressed in splendid robes.

The Empress smiled and told her that he was the Crown Prince.
