When I started this book, I wanted to try a new writing style. I'm not good at writing plot-driven stories, so I wanted to improve, but it turned out to be completely beyond my abilities. As I kept writing, I realized it had strayed far from what I'd originally planned... I really like the leads and their characterizations. I tried adding lots of characters and a bit of a plot, but that made the early pacing too slow and flat. In the end, I completely lost control of the story, and the whole thing turned out bland. Writing it was painful, too. By around chapter forty or fifty, I'd already run out of steam. Little by little, I lost the initial urge to ship the leads. I've been busy lately, and when I came back to write, I realized how exhausting it was. Even writing a single sentence felt tiring, and I couldn't find a way to continue. It's because I lack the ability. Once I slowly find my inspiration again, I'll fill in this abandoned story. I'm truly sorry, everyone.
1.
One day, Yun Shuiyao suddenly learns that she's the villainess in a book, and that in the future, her love-addled brain will make her break a seal and kill every living being in the Three Realms.
To prevent her from causing a catastrophe, the System selects a mission-taker and tells him:
[Your mission is simple: either win her over before she falls for the male lead, or kill her in advance to eliminate the threat.]
At their first meeting, the youth stands amid a sky full of falling blossoms, pure as fresh snow. His smiling eyes are curved, his manner warm and gentle.
He gazes intently at Yun Shuiyao, his pale eyes exceptionally tender and harmless.
But in the next instant, Yun Shuiyao hears the System's voice again:
[I still can't gauge how strong she is. Are you sure you don't want to reconsider this choice?]
Yun Shuiyao: ...
Before the youth can make a move against her, Yun Shuiyao grips her short sword and decides to strike first.
But for some reason, Yun Shuiyao can't seem to hurt him.
In the end, she looks down at the youth, who seems to have staged a fake accident and fainted in her arms after coughing up blood, and falls into deep thought.
2.
Shen Qichen's origins are unknown, but he has a face that looks incapable of doing anything bad.
Yun Shuiyao can't kill him, so she takes pity on him because of that face and saves his life.
When he wakes up, he thanks Yun Shuiyao and stays by her side to complete his mission, becoming her junior fellow disciple.
But strangely, as they spend time together, he not only never makes a move against Yun Shuiyao, he always calls her "Sister" with an obedient look.
Only when he makes a soul pact with her in person, binding them together in life and death, does Yun Shuiyao hesitantly ask, "...If you make a pact with me, doesn't that mean you can't complete your mission?"
Shen Qichen pauses. His beautiful eyes crinkle with a smile. "I never planned to kill you."
He lowers his head and kisses Yun Shuiyao. The bed curtains fall beside them as he whispers gently into her ear, "The book and the male lead are both fake. Sister, fall for me. I promise I'll always do as you say."
3.
Beneath Shen Qichen's seemingly perfect exterior, he's actually a selfish, cold-blooded snake.
He's used to wearing a gentle mask in front of others, never letting it slip.
Only Yun Shuiyao isn't fooled by his act, and finds the real "Shen Qichen."
From then on, he wants her eyes fixed on him. He wants to wind himself tightly around her gaze, like a vine around a tree, never letting go until death.
[Quick-witted, adorable sweetheart x gentle younger man with a venomous streak]
☆Reader Advisory☆
1. This is my take on nontraditional xianxia. The setting is a fictional dynasty, with a little steampunk and a mountain of original worldbuilding. If that's not your thing, proceed with caution.
2. The younger male lead is a crazy type, a master actor who's sweet on the outside and dark on the inside. He's cold-hearted and unscrupulous.
3. This isn't a strong, empowering female-lead story, though the heroine has maxed-out combat ability. She's a genuinely violent sweetheart with a slight troublemaker streak, so readers who have certain moral expectations of the heroine should proceed with caution.

On the Nth day, I still miss my teacher 😭, my Bai Yueguang will return soon
It's been 26 years since I saw such a cute setting! I like it so much, as long as I can see the ending in my life, I will die without regrets [Let me be healthy]
Are you still writing this baby book? I really like this book very much. I will come back and read it every once in a while. I want to see the ending of this book 😭 😭 😭 I wish you all the best for the third time!!!!!!
Very, very good article, I will keep waiting for it.
Still waiting for this book in the new year 🥺
I haven't been to Jinjiang for a long time. Today I saw the solution. Teacher, be good and wait for you 🥺
In fact, I think this book is better than the previous one. Is that fair to say? I quite like the characters of the male and female protagonists in this book. 😭 There are some strong women and weak men. Because the female protagonist is too strong, the male protagonist cannot use force to keep the female protagonist. He can only use some perverted tricks to make the female protagonist love him. The female protagonist will only give her reserved love to the male protagonist because she can hear the system sound, and then the male protagonist will fight to the death to get the female protagonist's unreserved love. The female protagonist can make him happy as if he's in heaven, and she can also make him as miserable as if he's in hell (holy shit, I'm a pervert!). This book is actually available for pre-order. I had collected it when I was reading it, and I had been waiting for the update. When it was officially updated later, I was still thinking about whether I should wait until the main text was finished before reading it, so I kept it there without reading it. While waiting, I would occasionally come in to check the update status, and then I found that the author seemed to have something to do and the update had been unstable. As a result, yesterday I suddenly thought that I should catch up on the update. It doesn't matter whether the update is stable or unstable. But I just finished reading it in one go yesterday, and today I saw that the update was going to be stopped 😭 😭 It's so painful! However, the author should make adjustments first, and then update after the adjustment is completed (be sure not to forget this book!!) I will always stare at the "Star Eyes" of Junior Brother's book.
Ah ah ah, when will this book be updated? I like the characters of the male and female protagonists so much. Although I have forgotten the previous content, I will still click in to see if it has been updated.
Happy New Year, teacher!!! No need to send me red envelopes. I haven't read Jinjiang for a long time due to academic reasons, but I always think of this book in my spare time. The characters are really good!!! Later, I was really happy to see that the teacher has opened a new pit, but I have never had time to read it (no!!). But no matter what, I hope that the teacher will be happy in this life. When the teacher feels like writing this book, I will definitely take the time to read it 😚
Happy New Year's Eve, teacher. I miss you 🎆
