Good Days on a 1960s Farm

Su Yun suffered from a serious illness for more than ten years in the modern era. When she finally died, she found herself transported to the early 1960s.

It was a time of hardship, with too little food and clothing, and life was difficult for farmers. A large family muddled along, each member with their own plans.

After getting married, the original owner of the body never stopped pining for her first love, her cousin. She disliked her husband for not being what she wanted, her children for not being considerate, and her mother-in-law for favoring her sisters-in-law and scheming against her. She complained about her miserable lot every day, until she finally brought about her own death.

Su Yun, who has arrived from another time: With a healthy body that can run and jump, eat and drink, what more could I ask for?

Life is hard and we're poor?

No problem! Roll up your sleeves and get to work!

As the days go by, her husband proves gentle and thoughtful, her clever and well-behaved children are all precious, and though the extended family has its share of troubles, their home is always lively.

Su Yun thinks, life is truly full of flavor. [Advance notice for a future story, 2023.2.25.]
