As a pink little bird with a single-digit combat rating, Qiu Mei set three rules for her bird life.
First, don't randomly pet furry mammals you meet on the street.
Second, don't talk to strange animals with sharp teeth.
Third, don't let any animal bigger than you into your home.
Qiu Mei had followed these three rules for over a decade. Then, within a single day of meeting a filthy white Samoyed on the street, she broke every one of them.
She brought the dog home, washed him clean, and made him a nest in the corner of the living room. She planned to raise him until adulthood, since he couldn't yet take human form.
For her own safety, Qiu Mei always kept her human form around him. Her bird persona was that of a mighty eagle. Most importantly, she had to raise Yeye into a silly little angel who wouldn't pounce on birds or eat them!
Yeye was sweet and adorable, and after he kept pleading with her, Qiu Mei soon agreed to let him sleep on the sofa in her room. Ahem, she absolutely refused to admit that the main reason was she liked using him as a sofa cushion.
Unexpectedly, one night Qiu Mei had a nightmare and accidentally changed back into her original form.
Then Yeye sniffed on the sofa and walked over to the bed. He stuck out his big tongue and gave the little pink bird under the covers a thorough lick.
Qiu Mei, covered in drool and feeling like she was about to be eaten: “...”
Yeye had grown up. It was time to kick him out.
She absolutely, definitely would not offer a huge reward to get Yeye back!
