Pei Xingzhu was the easiest omega to bully at military academy.
A commoner omega from a fallen family, he worked day and night to earn money. He could barely get by on the nutrition drinks other people left behind.
When the general inspected the cafeteria with the dean and several others, he spotted Pei Xingzhu drinking a nutrition supplement in the corner and sternly asked him why he was only drinking that.
Pei Xingzhu: "I'm sorry. I didn't know I wasn't allowed to take the nutrition drinks other people threw away. I can pay for them!"
The general: "Doesn't the academy offer a subsidy? Why didn't you apply?"
Remembering the pain of being temporarily marked, Pei Xingzhu burst into tears. "I'm sorry. I know I was wrong. I won't apply again!"
As Pei Xingzhu moved, a jade pendant at his neck came into view. The general abruptly recognized it as the only keepsake of the Pei family, a family renowned for its military achievements.
When Nolan Star faced the threat of annihilation, his grandfather, Marshal Pei, had sacrificed himself without hesitation for the survival of his people, securing a chance for the entire planet. Fifteen years ago, his father had fought to the bitter end against a returning alien enemy, winning a costly victory. His elder brother had been sent undercover to the front lines for years and had vanished without a trace, yet the intelligence he sent back had changed the course of events time and again...
The general's expression gradually turned blank.
The dean's eyes widened to the point of nearly popping out of their sockets.

As the academy's only S-rank Alpha, the solitary Youlaien was suddenly informed that he had a roommate. He was also given a top-priority order to protect him, no questions asked.
His new roommate, Pei Xingzhu, didn't talk much. After class, he went straight to the library. Bored, Youlaien would pet a big cat behind him, while his gaze fell on the back of Pei Xingzhu's neck whenever it happened to show. Hidden there was a bite mark, still oozing blood.
Youlaien narrowed his eyes, wondering if the guy's Alpha was dead. Why else would he waste his time going to the library with him every day?
He couldn't see any danger around Pei Xingzhu. The guy was close to all the bigwigs in the military and received countless special privileges.
As the days passed, Youlaien, who used to love roaming everywhere, grew completely fed up with the dull routine of going between three places. He decided to deal with the problem at its source.
Youlaien cornered Pei Xingzhu at the dorm entrance. "Can't you go somewhere else? Stop going to the library all the time!"
Pei Xingzhu didn't understand. "Sorry, I'll leave right away..."
Youlaien couldn't be bothered to explain. He grabbed his roommate and climbed over the wall with him to get some fresh air.
Pei Xingzhu went from uncomfortable at first to gradually getting used to it, until eventually he could even suggest places he wanted to go himself.
Later, Youlaien thought that Pei Xingzhu's Alpha had better be dead. He should hurry up and clear a spot in his heart so Youlaien could move in.

The second prince, long accustomed to throwing his weight around, couldn't understand. He had only temporarily marked a commoner omega, so why had his father suddenly exiled him to a desolate planet? The old man must have lost his mind.
He remembered that pitiful omega and ran a thumb over his canine teeth, missing the pleasure of piercing a gland with them.
What was that omega's name? Pei Xingzhu, right? He was pretty cute. If he was obedient, maybe the prince would keep him around for a bit of fun.
It wasn't until he was dragged out of bed, hauled back to the capital star with his hair in disarray, that he realized something was wrong. He struggled desperately. "Let go of me! Do you know who I am?!"
The guards ignored his helpless fury and turned to salute the newly appointed commander, Youlaien. "Sir, we've caught the fugitive."
"What fugitive? You've got the wrong person! I'm... ugh!" The second prince tried to struggle, but a sudden, crushing wave of mental pressure left him gasping for breath. His knees buckled and he fell to the ground.
Youlaien crouched down unhurriedly. "It's a pity you didn't die on that desolate planet."
"But I suppose this is better. You can still see Xingzhu and me get married."
The second prince was soon tried and imprisoned. From behind bars, he watched the grand wedding broadcast.
Once a pitiful little nobody, Pei Xingzhu had become the finest mech designer. Beside him stood Youlaien, the new supreme commander of the empire, proudly showing off the S-rank mech Pei Xingzhu had designed in a broadcast to the entire star system. His tender gaze was overflowing with love.
The second prince: "...I should've just found a rock and bashed my head against it on that desolate planet."
