[Not blood-related siblings / Each other's first love]
Twenty-four-year-old You Yan suddenly gained a sixteen-year-old younger sister.
This girl, whom he had met only three times, was the keepsake his mother had left him.
When he first brought her to live with him, she couldn't speak. She said "Big Brother" using an emotionless voice assistant.
"Big Brother, the bed is so hard."
"Big Brother, I want something sweet."
"Big Brother, will you pick me up from school tomorrow..."
Later, she learned to speak, but for some inexplicable reason, the word "Big Brother" vanished from her mind. No matter how he coaxed her, she refused to call him that. The first thing she called him was his full name: "You Yan."
Before leaving the small town, she said, "You Yan, do you really not like me?"

Yu Siyang saw You Yan again six years later, while promoting her new drama.
Following the script, she called the male lead "Big Brother" onstage. He took her hand, and just as he was about to kiss her fingertips, she spotted the man in the audience.
Everyone was laughing and cheering them on, but the most striking man in the middle of the crowd had a cold look in his eyes.
Yu Siyang smiled at him without a care, just as she had when she was eighteen.
Back then, she'd said, "If you don't like me, fine. It's not like I have to have you."

After filming wrapped on her new drama, Yu Siyang ran into him in the lounge.
She had just called him "Big Brother" when he cornered her before she could say anything else. The man stepped closer, bracing one hand against the cold wall and placing the other at her waist. His fingertips grazed her clothes, inch by inch, as his dark gaze held hers. "Last night, you didn't call me 'brother.' You called me..."

Yu Siyang had known what he was thinking from the very beginning.
So she did as he wished and swam out into the vast ocean.
After swimming through it, she realized she still liked the river in front of her home best.
"Little fish, swim slowly. I'll always be right behind you."
[Reading Notes]:
1. Neither of them is poor. They're both very wealthy.
2. No angst. Even while separated for years, they never completely lost touch.
3. They aren't related by blood, and they aren't registered in the same household.
(My besties, I give up. I'm trying a different style for this blurb.)
