The day her younger brother was in a car accident, Yin Weiyin met Wen Ye for the first time.
At the time,
she was the family member who needed to sign the critical condition notice, and he was the doctor.
Rain poured down in sheets, and the hospital corridor was dim and dark.
From a meter away, she reached out with a trembling hand and lightly touched his white sleeve.
In a hoarse voice, she said, "Doctor..."
Wen Ye paused mid-stride.
Calmly, he reminded her, "Family members, please stay back."
Yin Weiyin nodded, her cold fingers slowly letting go.
But amid the lightning and thunder, someone reached back and gently clasped her fingers through his sleeve.
//
Yin Weiyin saw Wen Ye again outside the main hall of Jiawen Temple.
He was dressed in black, leaning against a towering tree.
The swirling mist framed his sharply defined profile.
His aloof detachment from worldly affairs left Yin Weiyin spellbound.
She hesitated for a moment, about to approach him, when she saw him walking toward her, bringing with him a rush of cool air.
He bent down to meet her gaze, his voice gentle and calm. "If you trust me, I can make the second wish you made inside the hall come true."
Yin Weiyin's heart softened.
Inside the hall,
she had made her second wish:
[Let my family have one more member.]
//
Six months into their marriage,
Yin Weiyin happened to find a letter in a desk drawer, written by Wen Ye to a girl when he was a student.
It said:
"In the third year since I met you, I turned eighteen.
But even at such a young age, I already wanted to say this.
To me,
you will always matter more than anyone else.
YWY---"
"I'm not that noble.
I only became a doctor
because she was sick."
"Before I met him, I never thought forever was possible."
[Content Warnings]
// The three blurbs are three separate story arcs, so the latter two won't appear in the main story right away.
// The title comes from Eason Chan's song "Unconditionally."
// The heroine's name is drawn from the line: "Thinking of you, I sing by the Wei River; soothing myself, I chant as I cross the river."
// Both are each other's first love, and their love is mutual.
// This isn't solely a romance. There will also be friendship and family ties. (I'll try to label the longer sections, so you can decide what to buy based on your preferences.)
// Romance-focused, with very little emphasis on the characters' professions. The medical details are fictionalized. The author isn't a medical professional, and the related information comes from books, the internet, and friends, so some plot points may not reflect reality. (Some plot devices are also there to serve the story as a whole.)

★★Don't Get Caught in the Rain. Blurb below↓
"Lin Suwan decided to stay in a world she didn't much like, for the sake of a soaking-wet little dog."
-
Before entering into a marriage of convenience with Jiang Yiyu, Lin Suwan had met him twice.
The first time was on the night after the college entrance exam. It was the 173rd time her mother had stood her up.
As she waited for the bus in the rain, Jiang Yiyu walked past her carrying a bouquet of edelweiss.
The young man wore a black windbreaker and a black baseball cap. Beneath the brim, his clear, misty eyes seemed to glide over her.
Just as the bus was about to arrive, the rain-soaked young man suddenly turned back and walked over to her.
"Want the flowers?" Without meeting her eyes, he looked at the top of her head and asked in a casual, clear voice, a little out of the blue.
-
The second time Lin Suwan saw Jiang Yiyu was in the cafe downstairs from her apartment building.
Jiang Yiyu was the man her father had picked out for her to marry.
After reading the prenuptial agreement, Lin Suwan looked up and unexpectedly met a pair of dark, distant, peach-blossom eyes, cold yet somehow tinged with self-mockery.
"..." Lin Suwan didn't know what to say. After all, she had taken quite a bit from him back then.
She'd bought a rare, expensive bouquet from him for 35.7 yuan.
Unsure whether the man in front of her remembered their brief encounter, Lin Suwan decided to play dumb for the time being.
After a brief silence, the man, amused by her act, dragged the girl back seven years.
His voice was low and lazy. Lin Suwan heard him dredge up the old score, his tone flat: "You still owe me 16.3 yuan for those flowers. What, were you never going to pay me back?"
Lin Suwan: "..."
Was he planning to apply for the Guinness record for best memory?
-
In the spring of their second year of marriage, Lin Suwan prepared to get her divorce certificate from Jiang Yiyu, as planned.
On the morning before they were supposed to get it, Lin Suwan went to a friend's birthday party.
She'd prepared a fairly lavish gift to thank him for looking out for her all these years.
Over the past decade or so, she had received many umbrellas mailed to her by this friend.
Her friend paused, then said, "Hasn't Jiang Yiyu told you? I wasn't the one who sent the umbrellas."
Seeing the confusion in Lin Suwan's eyes, her friend explained, "You didn't remember him, so he had to do it under my name."
After the meal, Lin Suwan ran into Jiang Yiyu again at the familiar bus stop.
The man walked toward her. Half of his sharply defined, handsome face was veiled by the rain, the other half fading into the light.
"Lin Suwan."
"Hm?"
She heard the man say, with studied seriousness, "You're not planning to go to the civil affairs bureau, are you?"
"It doesn't open on rainy days. Don't you know something that basic?"
Lin Suwan: "..."
When the girl fell silent, Jiang Yiyu stopped joking around. His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and his dark eyes fixed on her, growing ever more somber.
After a brief silence, Lin Suwan watched as the man opened his umbrella above her, shielding her from the wind and rain once more. His beautiful peach-blossom eyes gazed at her. He sighed and said, "If you want a divorce, then go ahead. Just don't get caught in the rain."
Her friend's words still echoed in Lin Suwan's ears: "You don't like rainy days."
"You lose your umbrellas all the time."
"You planned to go to college in a city with a long rainy season."
"He thought that if he sent you enough umbrellas, you wouldn't get caught in the rain."
And what about you?
Looking at the man holding the umbrella over her while drenched from head to toe, Lin Suwan wanted to say: Jiang Yiyu, I remember everything now. You're the one who hates the rain most of all.
-
Lin Suwan: "So I forgot the person who loved me most in this world."
Jiang Yiyu: "On the night after the college entrance exam, she turned down my confession with '35.7 yuan' and the five words, 'Do I know you?'"
"So 'Do I know you?' meant exactly what it said."
Theme: Your health is your most valuable asset.
Happy birthday Wen Ye. My grandparents are in good health today. ——Stay on 9.21
This is my first time writing a review. I am a person who finds it troublesome, but I still want to write my heartfelt words to Jinjin and Xiaoya. This is a very gentle book, not only the author's language, but also every character is gentle. Xiaoye will always love Jinjin, even if she forgets him many times. The author introduces the characters one by one from Jin Jin's perspective (actually Jin Jin has forgotten them all) Let's talk about Xiaoye first. He is the most considerate and gentle male protagonist I have ever seen. He has been in love with Jinjin for 11 years and dedicated all his sincerity to his girl. Although Jinjin was always silent in high school, Xiaoye liked her as long as she was there. It's just that the mobile phone card Jinjin secretly used was discovered by her mother and can no longer be used, so she didn't see the three hundred messages Xiaoye sent her. In fact, what makes me feel most distressed is that after Jinjin entered the experimental group, Xiaoya stayed with her but she forgot about him again. But his wish is that Jinjin will always be healthy and happy. It doesn't matter whether he can remember him. It really doesn't matter. He can take care of her for the rest of her life. Let's talk about Jinjin again. Every time she forgets Xiaoye, she still falls in love with him again and again. She opened the restaurant because she remembered Xiaoye telling her to eat well, and she hoped Xiaoye wouldn't be sad when she returned home. Although I forgot Xiaoye, I remembered what he said. Xiaoya loves her the most in this world, and she doesn't want to forget him. This is too cruel. Jinjin and Xiaoye are both people who are willing to think from others' perspective, are careful and patient, and always show kindness to those around them. I hope Jinjin and Xiaoye will always be happy! (It's a bit of a blur, I cried from beginning to end of this book!)
It was very slow in the beginning and I couldn't watch it several times, but I kept reading because I was curious about what happened before. Only later did I realize how gentle this article is. The male protagonist is really the best male protagonist I have ever seen, and so is the female protagonist. I also learned about Alzheimer's disease and depression. I think people who are sick need to be understood.
The secret love story "It's Him Who's Far Away" will be released in October Interested babies can save it. Thank you for your hard work 🎆
Happy birthday to us today Safe and healthy ——Stay in 10.1
2025.10.9 I really like this story. I am really touched. Every character is so warm. I really thank the author for creating them. In the parallel time and space, Wen Ye and Jin Jin will always be happy, safe and healthy forever.
