Raising a Little Misfortunate One (Female A, Male O)

The Shen and Wen families had arranged a marriage between them, but Shen Zhou's fiance eventually died after taking his own life alongside someone else. As the only heir of the Wen family's main line, he left behind a large inheritance and a child who was only seven years old.

Wen Chun curled up in a corner, listening as his unscrupulous relatives fought over custody. His father's lawyer took him to meet an elegant, aloof woman who was said to be his father's fiancee.

Shen Zhou looked down at the red-eyed Omega and bent to wipe away his tears. "Your father left a will. From now on, I'll take care of you."

At first, Wen Chun thought Shen Zhou had ulterior motives too. They weren't related by blood, and he was the child his fiance had with an Alpha of unknown identity. But Shen Zhou only patted his head and said, "Your guardianship remains with the Wen family, and a trust will manage your father's estate. You'll receive it when you come of age. Until then, come live with me at the Shen residence. I'll treat you as my own child."

Wen Chun lowered his head and quietly thought to himself that Shen Zhou couldn't possibly have a son as old as him.

After taking Wen Chun in, Shen Zhou discovered that raising a child wasn't so easy. As Wen Chun grew older, he became increasingly spoiled and fragile. At seventeen, he presented as an Omega.

+++ Not only did his face come to look more and more like his father's, but the way he looked at her became more and more undisguised...

+++++ Wen Chun didn't know when he'd fallen in love with Shen Zhou. Maybe it began the day he grew jealous of his father.

He saw his father's photograph still on Shen Zhou's desk. He heard her call out his father's name when she was drunk. After his father died, she gave up on the idea of marriage altogether...

++++++ Wen Chun was so consumed with jealousy he was nearly driven mad. On the night before he was about to be sent back to the Wen family, he went into Shen Zhou's room and threw his burning-hot body into her arms.

"Father is gone. Look at me..."

"I'm part of the Wen family too. I can fulfill the marriage pact in his place..."
