When Shen Shuying transmigrates into a book, she becomes a supporting female character who has been struck by the Crimson Flame Palm. Every time the poison flares up, it feels as if flames are burning her alive, and the agony is unbearable. The only cure in the world is a Snow Demon’s tears of true love.
The Snow Demon is elusive, and no one knows his true identity. But Shen Shuying knows who he is: Shi Xi, the story’s sickly obsessive male supporting character.
To stay alive, Shen Shuying steels herself and seeks out Shi Xi, intending to drag this aloof, dangerous beauty down to earth.
But the moment she gets close, she is frozen in place. He leans down to whisper in her ear like a devil.
“Be my puppet, will you?”

To save her own life, Shen Shuying goes out of her way to please and obey Shi Xi every day, never holding back on the sweet talk.
“Baby, I can’t live without you.” If I leave you, I’ll die. Boo-hoo.
Shi Xi’s voice is icy: “I’m allergic to the word ‘baby.’”
Shen Shuying: “That’s okay. Just don’t be allergic to me.” (She offers him two flowers.)
I’m allergic to those two words too!!
When Shen Shuying sees another couple arguing and the woman throws down her bowl and chopsticks, she immediately turns to Shi Xi.
“If we ever argue, I’ll throw a bowl like that.”
Shi Xi glances at her. “In your dreams?”
Shen Shuying giggles, grabs his wide sleeve, and gives it a gentle tug. “If you’re in my dreams, then they’re happy dreams.” That’s definitely a nightmare, a nightmare!!
(She offers him two more flowers.)
Even so, she still can’t win Shi Xi over or cure the poison. She immediately grabs her bundle and leaves to look for another way to get rid of it.
Later, when the human and demon realms are thrown into turmoil, Shi Xi crosses mountains and rivers to find her, draws her into his arms, and whispers like a devil once more.
“How can you call someone else ‘baby’? You’re being naughty.”
“If you don’t behave, I’ll turn you into a puppet.”
Amid the snowy mountains, Shen Shuying’s eyes brim with tears, and her lips are blood-red, as if scorched by flames. The man presses close against her back, saying nothing, his jaw clenched as his fingers caress her neck, as though he wants to devour every inch of her flesh and bone.
“You were right. It had to be you. I really can’t live without you.”
Reader’s Guide: 1. The heroine never called anyone else ‘baby.’ It’s a misunderstanding.
2. The hero is obsessive and unhinged, and cold at first. There’s a reason he doesn’t cure the heroine’s poison early on. He really wants to cure it too!
3. Both are each other’s first and only, one-on-one romance, happy ending.
