Su Wan was transported, character and all, into a single-player cultivation game called The Long Road to Immortality. The System told her that the only way back to the modern world was to help this realm restart its ascension ladder.
Restart the ladder, ascend, and she could go home. However...
Looking down at her blank-slate alt account, which she had created and carefully planned with terrible talents and an awkward constitution just to collect the bad-ending cutscene, Su Wan asked the System in despair:
"Can it count if I help someone else ascend?"
The System had kidnapped the wrong person and could only agree through tears.

The romantic competition is intense, with everyone clawing at each other, but the protagonist is an emotionless educator who only wants to push people to ascend.
