A Summer Wanderer's Diary

Blurb One:

In 2030, eighteen-year-old Mu Liu and his friend Lu Jianfeng co-starred in a low-budget thriller for two male leads called "The Road."

The film became an unexpected box-office and critical hit that year, and Mu Liu took home several trophies for his stunning performance.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2035, twenty-three-year-old Mu Liu had a bout of narcolepsy and collapsed. When he opened his eyes, he found himself back on the set of "The Road."

Strangely, there were no props or crew members on set. The only thing there was a line of blood-red writing in his palm:

"Welcome to the real world of Summer."

Summer was the name of the character Mu Liu played in "The Road."

Blurb Two:

"The Road" is a romantic thriller. Its protagonist, Xia Tian, was abandoned by his parents and grew up surviving on the streets, an outsider to society.

One day, he wandered onto a strange highway.

Ghostly shapes and shadows crowded the wooden houses along the road, and there wasn't a single living person in sight.

But on the deserted highway, he saved two companions whose skin was warm to the touch: Min Qiu and Su Fang.

As the three tried to escape the highway together, Xia Tian fell in love with Min Qiu, but Min Qiu loved Su Fang.

At the end of the film, the highway's only crossroads stretched beneath a sky sharply divided in two.

On one side, the sky was clear, traffic flowed, and people filled the air with lively chatter.

On the other, dark clouds churned, ghostly shadows loomed, and the place was soaked in blood and terror.

To return to the normal world, one person had to be left behind forever.

As Min Qiu looked at Xia Tian with reluctance and slowly raised a hand, Xia Tian, who had always been alone, naturally assumed that he would be the one left behind.

After all, the person he loved was Su Fang.

So he gave Min Qiu a bitter smile and walked into the terrifying darkness that would never fade.

The film slowly drew to a close as Min Qiu fully raised his hand, just as he was about to touch the hem of Xia Tian's clothes, leaving an unanswered question behind:

Was he going to push him into the abyss, or pull him back?

Blurb Three:

On Christmas Day, December 25, 2035, renowned actor Mu Liu died in a car accident.

That same day, renowned actor and producer Lu Jianfeng announced his retirement from show business and vanished from public view for good.

No one ever learned where he went.
